It a lot better than the alternative...paying to jail those that use it or sell it. It would save many lives on the border with the drug wars.

I absolutely support medicinal marijuana which I have been a beneficiary of since I returned to Canada in 2005. It has enabled me to stop sleeping pills and opiates which were rx'd for my arthritis.

Oh Absoutely! The medical benefits cannot be denied. My vascular pain was 'awful' until marijuana's relief. I was on Dilaudid 4mg 5x daily. I have stopped taking this potent narcotic and feel hmmmm *75% better.

Marijuana should be legalized for recreational use as well. I believe it would slow down alcohol use as well. Everyone (except the radical right) knows that marijuana is much less addicting and does't affect ones health as does alcohol. So there

For all you concerned parents! Of course knowbody wants Kids to have easy access to Marijuana and that is why it needs to be Legalized and regulated. When it done like this it then can be controlled so you kid can't get it from a drug dealer at the age of 12.It doesn't take a rocket Scientist to figure that out.At least you know your kid can never overdose from Marijuana.Watch out though Alchol can be deadly and most definately leads to other things ,like un-protected sex and cocaine cause most drunks get loaded before 10 so they need there Pick me up to get them through the night.I tell you one thing My kid will have nothing to do with Alchol and Frat parties. Why would we push our kids to that kind of Drug. Legalize Marijuana on Scientific Facts and not on Old School Propaganda. We once thought the world was Square and in Fact it wasn't. Wake up people do the math!

Yes. I have 70 years of storys to tell. So many problems would be solved if up to a set amount could be legal. Many are already mentioned on here.

More and more marijuana is being laced with PCP and crystal meth for a higher high so the user will get addicted and come back and buy more. If you think the world's screwed up now, just wait and see what happens if marijuana is legalized.

Here is an idea, I know people will find a way to shoot it down, but like I said an IDEA. Pot should not be legalized and handed out to every moron who wants to get stoned. Maybe an application proccess where you have to be self sufficient with a career, car, home, over a certain age, or an acceptable medical condition and so on. Issue a card like a driver license that says hey John doe is a responsible adult using marijuana for recreational purposes/health reasons. Kids in school do not need their motivation focused on doing weed and living off their parents so they can get high. If people cant get it together and be approved to use marijuana, a criminal or civil punishment say a fine of $50 bucks a gram and your stash confiscated. What do y'all think?
