The tax benefits alone make it worth while besides the law enforcement side not having to arrest everybody in possession of a pipe or joint.

the legalization of marijuana would lessen the burden of jails. I saw a documentary on marijuana and it was really insightful it is on Hulu called HIGH! Very good information that not many people have heard. I am also a supporter because the number one reason for broken families is Alcohol not pot. Also the legalization of hemp could solve fuel issues. there are so many uses for the hemp plant that would help our world its ridiculous that it is illegal in our country!! Watch the video and you will see. I have seen many documentaries for the issue and against it just doesn't add up to why marijuana is still illeagal.

I support the legalization of marijuana because it is no more dangerous than alcohol and has more positive uses

First and formost its a plant that comes the earth. It helps people relax, they use for medication purposes, and no one is going to get in a car accident as apposed to being drunk!

It's an enjoyable and relaxing experience. I disagree with driving under the influence of marijuana, but other than that I see no problem with it.

Save the taxpayers some money! Reform of marijuana laws is the biggest place to start. Taxed weed equals money. Legalized marijuana saves states and Feds millions if not billions in court cost, prison housing, and police enforcement. All of which saves everyone.

There's all the support in the world to legalize every where. The gateway theory has been dis proven, @ the person who said it leads to worse drug usage. Tax revenues it generates are substantial enough to improve the area. The taxes could be used to make school lunches bigger, school lunch portions have gotten smaller. The jails would free up a lot of space and save the tax payers money. The time is now.

Maybe it would get some people off welfare...they wouldn't worry about passing a drug test.

they could get a job support themselves. They would still treat it like alcohol no driving and no showing up to work under the influence.

better than alcohol. never hear of child and spousal abuse from pot smokers, has medicinal purposes that have only been curtailed because big pharmaceutical and their bought and paid for congressmen don't want people to know about, a great source of tax revenue, unfortunately congress wont get kickbacks from the drug cartels but oh well, unfortunately the prison fro profit system in America will have more difficulty filling their prisons but I am sure if they pay congress enough they can make up a new law whereas they can throw more poor and middle class americans in jail for nothing.
