Drug control is a failure:
1. It's costing the US a fortune.
2. It's destroying Mexico.
3. It's supporting terrorism.
Just make them all legal and tax them to recover the cost to society of drug users.

Amazing how the government only targets certain drugs like marijuana...not cigarettes and booze. Then again, those industries have a lot of lobbying power.

Cigs and booze routinely, mentally, socially and physically kill their abusers daily.

Every morning I fire up the computer only to read some poor soul who missed the chevron and careened into the embankment. Killed instantly. Thanks Anhauser Busche.

Or how about tobacco? Some say it's was the last act of vengeance from the red man against the white man for introducing hard liquor, well, it certainly lives up to the legend by turning everyone who smokes it into a grumpy, smelly and poisonous individual. Have fun dying, world citzen.

I love marjiuana; I credit weed for destroying my endearing shyness that plagued me for the first eighteen years of my life; I smoke weed a couple times a month and I just the love the feeling good bud gives me, in my eyes, my muscles and of course bumpin' my favourite tunes.

Marijuana is harmless, it has yet to kill anyone, anywhere who uses it. I believe the world should smoke pot. Only then would they realize that the only good place for a firearm is in the wastebasket .

The dude abides man...legalize it. Tax dollars would prove beneficial to state and local government. It is natural and God put here for a reason.

my stepdaughters father is in prison for marijuana charges. Because he is in for more than a year, his child support was cancelled, with no arears being added. Now if I wanted to go to school to better my job future, I would not get a break in child support, and the whole time in school, my arears would ad up. Marijuana is illegal, and the system is a joke. I'm glad this asshole is in prison and not around my stepdaughter selling and using drugs.

If marijuana would make my thought process as disjointed as yours, no thanks.

Yes, let's make it legal. Then my teenage son can hop into his F-250 impaired and hit your family head on. And your doctor can do a little surgery on you, just a little impaired (you know that everyone is different, just like drinking).
But it's ok, remember it's legal. Do you really want to come out of an office building and have to walk through that smoke too?

PI needs a nude beach to boost tourism. cheetos needs to unwind there.

weak example. alcohol is legal and all of your examples could apply to it, yet would fail your test.

It's obvious that the legalization of marijuana is a serious issue, and this is why * http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l3r671rtEB1...

...if you are caught with too much grass (you know, the stuff that makes you so dangerous that you spend too much money on Funyuns) then you are declared a felon for life, and are legally discriminated against in housing, employment, public benefits. In some states, your very right to vote is revoked for it.

Yeah, you're probably right. Spending billions every year to stop people from smoking da cheeba - while leaving behind millions of broken families and homes - is a very smart idea.

Compare the two, alcohol makes the drinker feel "10 ft tall and bulletproof", they feel invincible. There used to be an on going joke among my friends, the day after a partying/drinking night you notice a bruise or two that weren't there before and you don't remember how you got them. Those bruises my friend are UDI's (Unidentified Drunken Injuries). How many stories have you heard of a drunk getting into a car accident and the only person that survived was the drunk person. Why? Because the drunken person is so relaxed from their drunkeness that the wreck doesn't affect them as it does the other people in the wreck who aren't drunk, because they are not drunk they tense up and brace for impact and this tensing up causes rips and tears of muscles, organs and various other things. Alcohol is legal yet causes more casualties than war! No to mention Domestic Violence!!!!
Now take Marijuana, when you are high you are so paranoid that if you can even bring yourself to get behind the wheel of a vehicle you will be so cautious because you know that you are high. Also, you would rather sit at home watching tv and eating munchies than go break into a store, beat up someone, rob someone, or anything like what happens when people get drunk and stupid.
Now, everyone is entitled to their opinions, that marijuana is a gateway drug..blah blah, but guess what YOU control what you will and won't do. I smoked marijuana for 11 years before quitting cold turkey, not withdrawls or anything just quit because it's too dang expensive. I have two Bachelor's Degrees one in Accounting and one in Business. So go ahead and tell me that stoner's are stupid and never amount to anything. I don't think I would have made it through college if it weren't for chilling out with some weed. All these poor stressed out people you hear about going on killing sprees in the work offices and schools, if they could have just chilled out and smoked a little weed they would have realized that things aren't every really that bad or that serious.
Chill out people things aren't that serious, that's why people have heart attacks and strokes at 40.
I'm not insane, I probably just think a little too much for the average Joe.
