Law enforcement spend way too much time and money on this, when they need to be catching real criminals.

If people would just stay home while consuming it, and not get out and operate any type of machines on the roadways, then it may not be a problem.
But, it may cause more people to become even more complacent than what they are which would lower productivity at their place of employment and their current lifestyle.
Before anyone wants to argue with me, I just state that it *could* cause *more* complacency (relaxed behaviors + satisfied with oneself = lower standards of living is more acceptable to them
My thoughts on consumption of alcohol is, as long as an individual don't do so often, then that is okay. Consumption of alcohol should be confined to one day every 7 days (maximum). Because then the consumption of alcohol wouldn't cause so many health, family, and other civilian associated problems.
If people could restrict their drug and alcohol time, then it wouldn't be seen as a problem, but the problem occurs when people over-consume. Restricting something to only one time a week gives that particular thing more meaning because you don't get it that often, plus the less often you consume something intoxicated, the less you will you need to get that good feeling buzz.
Prescriptions that physicians write can be just as dangerous too, but people take them in moderations like 1 pill 3 times a day. But if you take 12 pills in a day, then that is most certainly going to cause some damage to a person's body because that is 4 times the dosage that has been calculated by scientist that a body can safely maintain and function normally.

Let your brain works before doing such a bad vice. Think of your future not just today, look around and observed those people who are into drugs. They have emptiness in their mind. How about the upcoming generations. You can't afford to see your children addicted into such things. Remember " Once tested always wanted" So make sure, and never try to test it. You are better than those evil doings. Be strong to see "NO TO DRUGS OR WHATEVER GRASS IT IS". THANK YOU. I am hoping i helped a little bit by extending my public advise on this topic. Have a great HOLIDAYS TO ALL... EMINENCE
why not

Why not? If the main problem is that it can have permanent damage to someone then it should be legalized and sold so the country can make taxes off it. All they would need to do is post a warning just like they have for alcohol and tobacco. If someone was going to be peer pressured into trying it, this will happen whether it's legalized or not. People only do what they want, not whats law. Just like "abc" says, it's only a problem to others when people over use.
