Marijuana is a natural grown plant. Read the history of marijuana and you will learn that presidents had marijuana crops.

"1. Informal. a.A narcotic, especially an addictive narcotic. b.Narcotics considered as a group. c.An illicit drug, especially marijuana.
Noun 1. dope - street names for marijuana."
But I like this one.
"2. One deficient in judgment and good sense: ass, fool, idiot, imbecile, jackass, mooncalf, moron, nincompoop, ninny, nitwit, simple, simpleton, softhead, tomfool. Informal gander, goose. Slang cretin, ding-dong, dip, goof, jerk, nerd, schmo, schmuck, turkey."

i believe that it costs the government way too much money to not legalize it. there are alot of people in jail wasting money simply for smoking or selling pot. or the fact that there is alot of money that remains underground, where as if marijuana were legal more money would come up and it could be a very profitable industry.

Less crime rate and less prisoners for non-violent reasons.

Thats the point - the loss of all those prison jobs and the millions of dollars spent on keeping it illegal that pads the pockets of lawyers and government officials would be lost. Even with the taxes that could eliminate our national debt, those who are making the money now (including the dealers) will not give it up and as long as we live in a country of sheep --- It Ain't Gonna Happen!

Yes it should be legalized because the excessive amounts pouring in from mexico are causing all kinds of violence at the bortder.

prohibition didn't work with alcohol and it's not working with pot. Futhermore, there is better ways to spend tax dollars than on combatting a endless war on pot smokers and did I tell you about the medical need. All self explanatory

Shoulda been done long ago, along with prostitution. Tax both, require health tests for prostitutes, and spend time and resources on other things. Like rape, murder, and animal crulity.

If legalized, regulated like alcohol and cigarettes and taxed there would be many jobs created and the gorvernment would collect lots of $$. Unfortunately, the pharmecutical companies and illegal drug cartels will fight tooth and nail to stop this by buying politicians and running deceptive ads to confuse the small minded majority in this country. The lawyers and courts will fight this also because it will cut into their cash flow also.
