It's natural, and it is less dangerous than smoking cigarrettes and drinking alcohol. And it really does make EVERYTHING better, seriously. From small things like food and music to bigger things like relationships and depression/anxiety.

Marijuana has been used for centuries. It is a natural grown product. If the police spent as much time going after serious offenses instead of marijuana smokers our world would be a better place. Police, lets go after killers, theives, & rapists.

Thats right Jeffy, good logic, make marijuana legal so there is less crime - lets follow that logic to it's conclusion. Make everything legal and then there would be no crime at all. Good work Jeffy, have another joint, I think you might
have missed killing a brain cell or two but I have faith that you can still get them.

It would bring revenue into the states, instead of the violent mafias and cartels that compete in the black market, meaning it would eliminate said black market and reduce crime. I've been a user for more than a decade, and I have a college degree, was on the dean's list at my college (while using DAILY), and I have a well paying network administration job, proving that the detriments highlighted in anti-marijuana propaganda (such as reduced IQ and lack of motivation) is fallacious.

Oper is an idiot. Arsenic may be natural, BUT ARSENIC IS NOT A PLANT, MORON. Oper is a prime example of why this country is going down the drain. He's another gullible, sheltered imbecile that sits on his dare officer's lap.

You're right, opper. Legalize everything and there would be no black market, dumbass. Man, you are a dumb one. I think opper is only on here to argue, because his life is so empty. Is the logic too difficult for your small brain to grasp, Opper?

Because I've done the scientific research on it, and found NO detriment to long term nor short term users. I see the propaganda has captured some of the more ignorant, unintelligent children, like Opper and Stacey, the two brainwashed, gullible tools here.

The prohibition of this beneficial plant have gone on too long. It's time for a review and repeal of the current national and federal laws governing hemp/cannabis. Tennessee currently has House Bill:
HB 2562 The "Safe Access to Medical Cannabis Act" creates the Safe Access Program, which allows qualified patients with a prescription for medical marijuana to use medical cannabis.
*Federal law prohibits physicians from writing prescriptions for illegal drugs, including marijuana. If passed, the bill would have had no practical effect (similar to Arizona).]
Introduced by Rep. Richardson on Jan. 13, 2010; Referred to Government Operations Committee on Jan. 27, 2010; Passed and referred to Health and Human Resources Committee on Mar. 17, 2010; Placed on committee calendar and action deferred five times; Placed on committee calendar on Apr. 21, 2010; Amended and passed the Health and Human Services Committee on Apr. 27, 2010; Passed the Finance, Ways & Means committee on May 19, 2010; Placed on calendar in Rules Committee but session ended without a vote, thus killing the bill (June 10, 2010)
With all the research that is being documented by respected Doctor's in this field on the medicinal benefits of this plant and it's wide variety of illnesses and disorders it can treat... shouldn't an adult have the choice to use marijuana as a treatment in lieu of all the pharmaceuticals, which have severe side effects,or make the patient feel worse than they already do. Some of these medications can cause other illnesses or disorders which then require different medications. Should a person be forced to do this simply because the one treatment he could use for most of his illnesses is denied to him because it's illegal? Marijuana can't kill You from long term use.. pharmaceuticals can. Pharmaceuticals have a targeted range that it can cover.. marijuana covers the spectrum ... this is a list of ailments and disorders it treats..(and the list grows every day)

People suffer every day across the Nation, should they not have the access to a safe treatment?

Harry Anslinger sure did that right when he gave his testimony to Congress then launched a racist based tirade for the gain of himself and his buddies who's industrial interests were being hampered by hemp, which had been termed the Multi million Dollar crop. Anslinger was proven to be wrong before he even started but the AMA was ignored at the time. Marijuana Research was banned in the States when it was proven that Marijuana does not cause lung damage... Kennedy fired the man but it was too late by then. If people would truly research the entire subject from it's first uses(which are documented historically, even in the Bible) to all the research done around the World showing it's benefits and disproving all the propaganda that has been used for so long. Maybe just maybe then would their McCarthy like views change.

The only reason I support it is so there will be more jobs for me and my family. Potheads will be too lazy to work or keep a job. This country is supposed to be free so I say let people be free. If someone wants to smoke pot and be a loser, free country, go for it.
