people like,... love to say "[they] add all sorts of crap to it" but they never ever say exactly WHAT those additives might be.

it's more effective to leave it to the reader's imagination. that way you can imagine all kinds of harmful additives that MIGHT have been added.

same thing is true for milk. people LOVE to claim that farmer's add hormones to the cows.

well, maybe some do, but hormones cost money, and not everyone is going to want to spend the money. i have never ever met anyone who could give me the name of a farmer, or the amounts, dosages, and names of the hormones they claim that are being added.

NEVER.

until there is a way developed to prove someone in under the influence at the time of a traffic stop and the officers can prove it in court then I oppose legalization. Why should the public be put at risk to be killed by someone driving under the influence of weed and you know that users are going to use it and drive.

Marijuana was criminalized in a knee jerk reaction. This does not mean that I think that it should be made legal, however I do believe that it should be permitted to have more medical testing done on it and should be legalized for the medical community FOR LEGITAMATE MEDICAL REASONS, not for the bs that people are using it for now. I believe that there are medicinal benifits of marijuana for such things as cancer treatment, though it does not "treat" cancer, it does increase appetite which is a major problem for those going through chemotherapy. I believe that there may be other medical benifits but the medical community is not permitted to test marijuana because of its schedule on the DEA list. And before anyone says it let me say I recognize that there are those people out there who can't make it through life unless they are high who would abuse it, but they could still be charged for controlled substance offenses if caught with it without a legal prescription.

#124 - the public isn't put at risk. driving is a privilege, and it isn't mandatory. everyone who gets behind the wheel of a motor vehicle on public roads takes their life in their own hands.

you have just as much chance of being killed by a pregnant teenage girl talking on her cellphone as you have someone who is drunk.

you have very little chance of being killed by someone on marijuana, but you'll never accept that truth because it goes against what you have decided to believe.

the REAL question is why are you so against marijuana ? has it hurt you ? has it stunted your growth ? has it killed your family ?

anything ?

if you're scared to drive get off the damned roads.

lol

(HINT: but hey, you can still die from other causes, like you might get bit by a snake or a deadly spider)

WE HOPE THE DEADLY SPIDER ISN'T STONED ON POT OR THE SNAKE EITHER.

Yeah, I'm a Troll, but unlike you guys, I'm not a "stoned" troll. I'd have a better chance than you guys of getting out of the way of a stoned or drunk driver. If you guys would all promise to go to your basements, smoke your pot or drink your booze and never come out, well I wouldn't care what you would drink or smoke. I guess you pot supporters who rag on the tobacco companies, which I applaud you for, don't smoke cigarettes??? I say shut down the breweries also. With OBAMACARE I got to pay for all you losers and your zapped out worthless bodies. Opt out of the healthcare system and go for it dudes....

I have no problem in enforcing laws of driving under the influence and Im sure they can test for THC intoxication. But this debate is a no brainer, first off just look at the poll numbers on the public thoughts on legalization, then think about the deaths and injuries that come from the "War on Drugs", then think about the money that is spent (wasted) on the attempt to erradicate it, then look at the abuse numbers, they're not getting any lower, so this so called war is not working. actually the numbers of users have increased vastly since this "War" has started. Marijuana should be leagalized and controlled as alcohol is. Now dont get this confused with "Hard" drugs. Drugs like cocaine, herion, meth ect. are dangerous and can kill with just a puff, line, injection ect. Marijuana is alot less dangerous than alcohol is mentally, physically and socially. It's become a redneck society that its ok to drink yourself into a madness but to get high and relax is evil. No matter what the abolishment society thinks, its never going to cease and dissapear, your just throwing money and lives away trying to.

It would have to be legalized on a federal level as there is a federal statute making it illegal which trumps any legislature on the state or local level; meaning: a cop could still hook you up for possession.

yes.why not?it is the number 1 cash crop in wv and has been for years.i think we should focus on the eligal drugs that are killing people.i also beleive legalizing it will reduce the crime rate in wv.

Anytime a substance that is wanted someone will supply it. Why leave the criminals to regulate the market. Ingestion of Alcohol kills 100,000 people (medical) a year. The ingestion of Cannabis has never killed anyone.
