Marijuana does no one any good. People using it become lazy and lack ambition. It is a gateway drug that encourages users to try other drugs. They only legitimate use may be for cancer patients to ease their pain.

First off it has not been proven or disproven marijuana has or has not killed a human being. Second call it what you will but I would feel much more comfortable writing a script for some pot rather than a script for Vicodin. Pain pills will kill you no matter what if you take them long term. I would rather die of cancer than liver failure caused by pain meds or alcohol.

I do not think the government has any right to tell anyone what they can or cannot put into their bodies of their own volition; marijuana especially.

There really should be more tests done on this matter. It's not the devil people make it out to be. The war on marijuana is a waste of money. People will always come out with some way...K-2 for instance. Yes it is being made illegal...are they just going to keep making everything illegal? Plus if marijuana was legal...the government would make a killing off taxing it! We COULD be out of debt in no time!

The war on drugs is a waste of money. No matter what the punishment, people will always do it. The taxes on it could bring us out of debt.

We are wasting millions if not billions of dollars on something that will NEVER end. People will ALWAYS do it, and find ways to beat the system, they always have. Legalize it, tax it, make money, get us out of debt, plus it's WAY safer than alcohol and tobacco, which are legal. It helps people sleep, it helps with pain, it calms people down.

how would you know, obviously you are not speaking form experience. People on weed are more porductive and have been proven to solve problems quicker and more efficiently. It is NOT a getway drug, that is a load of crap, an excuse for the government to keep it illegal. There is NO 'reason' to keep it illegal, it is safer than tobacco and alcohol, tobacco kills thousnads of people every day and so does alcohol. There has yet to be one credited death from Marijuana.

Thats funny that you say it is a gateway drug...because I smoked it for 7 years! I am actually more productive on it! I have insomnia, and Ill tell you what...I would never ever take a sleeping pill.Look them up, people sleep drive on that crap! Marijuana helped me sleep, without the adverse side affects of pills. I am also much more productive and aware of my surroundings. I also have never ever tried any other drug. Never. And I wont. It does not lead people to try other drugs, their own decisions and curiosity do.

There are so many pro's...from experience I can say it helps with all sorts of aches and pains, insomnia, ADHD, Bi-Polar, even the stomach flu. Marijuana itself does not make people lazy. People who smoke it and get lazy were probably lacking ambition in the first place. I can smoke it and clean my house, go to work, drive all over hell...never have I gotten into an accident. I also have never tried any other drugs. So the gateway drug excuse can be thrown out. Put an age limit on it...18+, tax it, problem solved. The majority of the people opposing it probably don't do it and haven't, basing their opinions on what they hear.

I don't smoke it, but I am for it. I know alot of people who do, and I don't see any of the negative things anyone on here has brought up yet. I say the government should take a national "practice" vote-polls and all-and see what THE PEOPLE think! It should be up to us, NOT THE GOVERNMENT!

I agree with Mike! It should be up to the People! Open the polls and see what WE think! What happened to our constitutional rights? And when did it become the governments right to tell us what we can or cannot put into our bodies?! The more they try to control us, the less we are going to GIVE A SHIT! You want the people on your side, then let US make SOME decisions!

Marijuana should defiantly be legal. It is natural and grows from the ground god put it here for a reason. Alcohol is the biggest gateway drug there is. My wife and I smoke daily and we both have very respectable jobs and great family.

Storm....." from the ground god put it here for reason "

I wonder if Jesus or the BIG man smoked it?

I guess you can ask him when the time comes:)

You'd want to be careful, when saying you have respectable jobs and so no, cause more and more companies are getting in the "grove" man!..:)( no punt intended ) of random drug tests. Many industrial/work place environments are being policed because of the high rates of work-place accidents that are related to DOPE use.

The quest becomes problematic just when just one person is killed or harmed and after having been tested and found positive.

All that it takes to fuel the governments decision, is ONE death that's connected to THC.

YES maybe you have a point on the alcohol sides of the argument, but THC is just not fashionable or safe in the needs of what one would call, " Abel bodied " or not with-in the respectable circles of " all hands on deck " when it comes to brain function.

Alcohol is widely excepted for its after hours wind down, and coming to work drunk, is easily detected.

I think DOPE as being the norm like alcohol.....I wouldn't hold your breath.

Maybe when the next GEN gets into Government.

See! the point is.......NO BOSS wants to pay out MILLIONS for having an employee that was too stoned and causing not only injury to him/she self, but others that you work with.
