No because there would be many problem rumor has it that some people get horny when they are high. That would we would have way more pedophiles and perverts out there on the streets and so much more crazy distruction. Above all just think of our kids how would this effect them? More dropouts? Pregnancies? Health issues? So on and so forth

YES! If it is strictly regulated by the states as is alcohol and tobacco and heavily taxed. A little more tax revenue would be nice. An EBT type card, lol, so there is a limit to how much can be bought each month may work. Anyone in possession of weed without their ISP (I smoke pot) card is then in violation of the law with the current possession laws in tact.

NO WAY! If unregulated..........

Let's all say yes then so that in the feature we will all complain about not having jobs someone to love and being useless to the world. Why should we even get mad at people who sell drugs when we are supporting them by wanting to legalize marijuana. Next time u see people on tv getting arrested for selling or using drugs don't whine because ur supporting them with this debate

Really? Explain yourself. Since I'm so clueless why do I at least give the children a thought? Parents will choose pot over their children. I know this because my aunt has two kids and all she worries about is staying high off doctor pill and drinking. Now do we really need mmore kids out on the street just bc their parents want to stay buzzed? No we don't so stop thinking of yourselves and think of your kids and grand kids because even 8 year olds are smoking pot these days I've seen it twice from two different kids and their parent know and don't care that's just sad

Carolina, I don't think that you're necessarily clueless on the subject but it does seem that your knowledge of marijuana is a little one-sided. You know what you have been told, but have you ever experienced it for yourself? From reading your posts I would think that you feel every user is a bad person. You have to understand that all kinds of people use marijuana. Your assumption that they are all bad is like assuming all gun owners are bad. Many people have good intentions, but there are always the few who don't. It also seems like you put marijuana on the same level as other drugs out there. I hope you don't think that it's anything similar to cocaine, heroine, meth, etc. I know plenty of people who smoke pot and if they didn't tell you, you would never know. It isn't some life-altering, mind-bending experience.

Sure, some mother could end up smoking pot more than she spends time taking care of her children, but I imagine anyone who could do that already has greater problems.

I'm not trying to fight here. I just want to clear things up, but I do feel that this could be like trying to argue my case with my grandparents. They've been told so many times for so many years that marijuana is bad, it destroys the brain, makes you lazy, blah blah blah to the point that it's just engraved in their brain and they will never see it any other way.

Don't get me wrong, I do agree with you there. Obviously if it were legal you would have to be of a certain age. I guess 21 would be fine, right along with alcohol (which is equally as bad, if not worse, for you!).

I don't have kids (still in school), but if I did I wouldn't want them using it either. Like alcohol, there's a time and place for it.

I do have trouble understanding some people who say "drugs are bad!", but then they have no problem getting and using giant bottles of pills from their doctors. People don't understand that things like that are so much worse for you in large amounts. If you take too many pills...you're dead. Drink too much alcohol...dead. Smoke too much pot? You might be a little lazy, and you might eat all the snacks from the kitchen...but still alive. Of course it affects your brain and your lungs, but if you put it into cookies, brownies, or any other food that solves half of that problem.

Anyways, I guess I'll stop now...I don't think my posts on 'topix' are gonna change any laws! Live long and prosper, and may the force be with you all.
