Do you support the legalization of Marijuana?

As a country, we need to grow up and legalize it already. If you want to talk about making something illegal, we could make an endless list of “prescription” drugs and all of their “pushers”. Otherwise, shut up.

Alcohol is by far worse on a person and society at large and it is legal. When have you heard of someone high on Marijuana commiting a crime, causing an accident, commiting domestic violence or developing a physical problem that ends up being life threatening? If your honest with yourself, you have never heard of it causing any problems. Marijuana use doesnt even cause cancer equal to one percent of cigarette smokers that develop cancer. The belief that Marijuana usage leads to harder drugs is a mith. What you dont know is that about 25% of the people you are associated with smoke Marijuana on a regular basis. When people will admit it, about 60% of the people your associated with have smoked Marijuana at least once in there life. About 75% of both groups combined have never tried any other drug. Fact is that Marijuana creates a mellow high unlike Crack, Powderd Cocaine and Meth. They create a physical and mental surge. An accelerated heart rate is a guarantee. The inability to sit still or stop talking is a common occurrence. Sweating profusely is common. Marijuana users do not typically like this kind of high
If you do the research you will see the truth to why Marijuana was made illegal to begin with.
Cocaine usage was found to cause health problems. Before that time it was widely used for many different reasons. It was used for medical reasons and it was also an ingredient in a well know beverage. At the time the government decided to outlaw Cocaine they thought outlawing Marijuana would help them control another problem. That was at the time leading up to this, that there where a large number of Mexican migrant workers coming to America. The government believed that Marijuana was used heavily by the Mexicans. They didnt want the Mexicans here; so they thought if they outlawed Marijuana at the same time they did Cocaine then they could drive out the Mexicans. Well we all know that didnt stop them from coming here. Marijuana was never felt to be a harmfull drug to begin with. Untill the government started a campaign to make everyone think it was. They created all kinds of false unsupported claims to scare Americans away from the drug. If they could prevent Americans from using Marijuana then it could be stated that it was a Mexican problem. Thus one more reason to dislike the Mexicans and drive them out of the country.
Now we have prisons over filled due to prosecution of users and dealers of Marijuana. It is costing tax payers about $35,000 a year to keep an inmate locked up. All because of a harmless drug that the government could actually be making money off of instead of losing money. I have discussed this with many a Police Officer and most of them, but not all of them feel the same way. That we should legalize or at least decriminalize Marijuana. It would give them more time and money to use for more serious matters.

Well either way people are still gonna do it with a law or not so the state might as well make some money off of it.
