I am 62 years old and have used marijuana for 44 years, not to just get high now like when I was young. Cancer runs in my family and my sister and I are all thats left. She is dealing with cancer right now and I have never been diagnosed with it in any form.

Helps with everyday pain. Life is a task. With use its' easier to deal with. Lots' smiles would be in the world instead of frowns. Its' not like hard drug use and doesn't lead to hard drugs. those people decide to use hard drugs, on their on.

I think people need to be educated to the fact that marijuana is not a drug. Marijuana is an herb and a flower. God put it here. If He put it here and He wants it to grow, what gives the government the right to say that God is wrong? Why is marijuana against the law? It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn't the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit ... unnatural?
Afterall people;
Man made booze, God created marijuana
Who do you trust?
No disrespect towards you Alberto, I like where your coming from but I disagree. Marijuana is a drug, or rather THC is a drug, just like cocaine, nicotine, heroin, caffeine, mescaline etc. And all of these drugs occur naturally on our planet regardless of religious beliefs, after all the poppy is a flower and the the coca plant is a plant, however marijuana in my opinion is far less harmful and addictive than most and I, like you, support the legalization and regulation of this drug for medical and recreational use.

I think that it would reduce crime drastically if marijuana was legalized. It would get rid of a large amount of illegal dealing. It could be sold in drugstores, but only a certain amount at once (The same way how you can't buy more than 4 boxes of anything containing pseudoephedrine, like ambient or mucinex).

I used to have a strong opinion against the use of Marijuana, until i actually tried it and took a liking to it. If alcohol can is considered legal, despite the numerous deaths associated with the use of it, why can't marijuana be as well? I've never seen nor heard of someone being "so high" they went and did various things you do under the influence of alcohol.

Take it out of drug dealers hand and tax it, sell in legal dispensary. Which will create more jobs. And we can have our medication legally. I do not want to take pain pills. I'm 51 yo and I deserve the same freedom to use marijuana as someone has to drink alcohol.

Marijuana Decriminalization Measure Introduced for Louisiana:

Legislation is pending in the House to reduce marijuana possession penalties to a non-criminal, fine-only offense. House Bill 906 amends penalties for the possession of up to one ounce of marijuana from a criminal offense (punishable by up to six-months in jail) to a fine-only, no arrest, jail, or criminal record.

The ongoing criminalization of marijuana financially burdens taxpayers, encroaches upon civil liberties, engenders disrespect for the law, and disproportionately impacts communities of color.

Please click on the link below and use the pre-written letter to contact your elected officials in support of this sensible marijuana law reform.
