MJ is relaxing. Besides I'm an adult, as long as no one is running from my house on fire, no one has the right to dictate what I do in it.

It is just a plant not a manufactored substance. It is less harmful than alcohol. Fighting the "war on drugs" is big business for the police and government and the government wants to keep it's funding. Making it legal gets rid of this and can be taxed.

if marijuana is not a medicine than there is no such thing as medicine. it is the most versitile medicine of all and nature is offering it to us. its not addictive nor is it harmful. no matter the reason someone my use it the positives will always outweigh the negatives. people look down on marijuana and users, in my opinion, simply because its illeagal which makes it seem like your doing something wrong. the law and the right thing arent always the same thing. marijuana should be far from any law enforcers priority. i think its more of a crime to harrass or judge a marijuana user than it is to actualy use marijuana. take a look at what alchohal does. this legal substance causes deaths daily and ruins many lives. it makes people want to fight and think they are invincible. how can any person deny that marijuana should be legal long befor alchohal ever should. people need to make their own opinions but not without doing some research. i can go on and on but i will spare you the boring reading.

This is such a waste of resources in this so called war on drugs. If this was legalized and taxed just like tobacco it would not only increase revenue, decrease associated crime, and just to make sure that you are all aware, I do not smoke pot. And if it were legalized I still wouldn't smoke. It is just not as fun as it was when I was younger. But it is not up to the government to legislate what someone does in the comfort of their own home just as alcohol and tobacco as long as it doesn't negatively impact anyone besides the individual user.

It is it is sold, and I agree it isn't as dangerous as alcohol. I guess the government just wants to act like to nation's parent; i.e, it wants to protect us and prevent problems...although that target is impossible.

Marijuana is a herb that has been on this earth for many years. It's also a lot safer than smoking tobacco or drinking alcohol.
