Let me ask you something. Does having a federally regulated system of restriction on products such as Alcohol or Tobacco make it "more available to children"?

You don't see back alley deals with cigarettes behind the middle school. You do with marijuana- BECAUSE it is illegal. Legalize, regulate, and tax the product, and you remove any criminal aspect involved.

If the government announced that Coffee, and its natural stimulant 'Caffeine' that us Americans are obsessed with were suddenly placed in Schedule 1 of the Controlled Substances Act, would you follow the law? If every Starbuck's and Dunkin' Donuts' suddenly fell victim to DEA raids, would it make it any less tragic for the store owners? Would it make it any less tragic for you, the consumer, simply trying to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning? The answer is no. Prohibition does not work. We learned that the hard way when Alcohol Prohibition was repealed. Now 70+ years into Cannabis prohibition we have a chance. People like YOU are going to hold the world back from reaching this goal.

Educate yourself on facts of the matter before you go around making comments that are based on nothing more than fear and propaganda.
I hope the brain-washing didn't hurt too bad.

Yes, I support the legalization of marijuana, becuase it is a benefit for those who medically require it, and it has less side effects than current other legalized medications/ social drugs(caffeine, alcohol, cigarettes).

Safer than liquor
No harmful effects to immune or cardiovascular system
No long time usage damage to the brain
It's only illegal because of a film from
1937, and America was misinformed as a whole
It should have never been made a schedule 1 substance to begin with

Its my belief that if marijuana is legalized and everyone starts using this drug, our population will become the living dead. It paralyzes judgement, ability to cope with problems is impaired, and simple problem solving skills are obscured.

No need to explain... The $ it would bring in if it was taxed right, the dealers it would put out of business, making the streets safer, the benefits it would bring people with health issues, the amount of cops it would relieve from issuing stupid tickets & fines (it would force them to actually work on crime for a change) I could go on and on, it's really a personal choice if you want to smoke marijuana, drink alcohol, coffee, smoke cigarettes, etc. as we all know for a fact, when it's done properly, without being behind the wheel, it's 100% safe. Marijuana has never resulted in an overdose or death... Ever.
