Some people just don't get it. Illegal immigration is BAD. Legal immigration is GOOD. How is it good to have unisured/unlicensed motorists on our roads, how is it good that our hospitals are flooded with people sapping the health care system at no cost to them, how is it good that our schools are overburdened with illegal children whose parents don't adequately contribute towards the taxes that pay the bill to support our schools. I could save tens of thousands of dollars if I didn't have to pay for auto insurance and healthcare. I, however, have to pay for ME and EVERYSINGLE ILLEGAL in America. That's not fair.

The farmers don't want the police to stop people with out of state tags because the illegals then will go elsewhere for work. The schools aren't allowed to do anything about it because federally illegals are protected. People just need to report suspicisious activity or public nuisance when they see..everytime so that the police will respond. That's the only way they can respond is if they get a call. They can't act on their own for fear of the ACLU giving the town a lawsuit.

Yet more and more illegals are moving to Hammonton. There should be some sort of code enforcement. Not all of them work on farms like some who say they only take jobs Americans don't want. My daughters classroom was filled with many illegals this year.

Some areas in town have seen increases in illegals while some have seen decreases. There will always be illegal immigrants in Hammonton but it's good that some places have seen it decrease.

This just opens the door to discrimate based on race and color. First step back in civil rights. It is undocumented not illegal. This is not a criminal violation it is a civil one.

The system is broken. Our farmers need worker. When our farms were short on labor. NOT one person on the unemployment line came down to fill these positions. Some of these application have been in process for over 15 years. Approved but waiting for their turn. Work authorization are a long process. Payroll taxes are taken out of each of their checks. NJ doesn't allow them to obtain insurance so how can they buy it. And I know plenty of citizens who have out of state tags and ins because it is toooo high in jersey

John Herman. oh and it is not just mexican, there are illegal russians, asians, ukrainians, south americans, italians. And the correct term is undocumented. If you were to verify with social services majority of services are provide to citizens. Is there any abuse of the system? Yes but not to the scale that you think. They pay into Social Security and medicare, unemployment and disability
that they will never see.

YOu fail to point out that they get free healthcare, free medical care, drive freely without insurance, a good number have illegal tags...oops undocumented tags. Now they want us to send their kids to college for free too. There are many legal documented workers. THe issue is the ones who are not documented. Many of the undocumented immigrants get abused by their employers and get ripped off. YRC it is people like you who want illegal immigration to continue. Illegal immigration is bad for America in general and actually bad for the undocumented workers themselves. The ones who benefit from illegal immigration will do everything in the power to stop those who want better control of our borders and truly addressing the problems of illegal immigration...no matter if you believe in deportation, amnesty or keeping things the same. Things have to change or America will Be NO MOre. I think our national security and the rule of law are more important than nice lawns and saving a few pennies on my produce. My property taxes are much higher, my auto insurance is much higher...why Illegal immigration!

You need documents to buy insurance, get a tag and register your vehicle. Foreigners are allowed to get. So by your own admission many who have lived in NJ for years and are driving with out of state tags for years when the laws states they need to change their tags over to NJ once they live here for 60 days. Once again they are breaking the law. IN February in Hammonton many illegals and some farmers got arrested for passing on illegal tags and of course drugs. Crime and law breaking leads to more crime.

So when someone breaks into my house and steals from me and demands that I let them stay and give them more that I should not call the police and charge them will illegal entry..I should say undocumented entry. Undocumented is a misnomer. Many have birth certificates, car titles and utiliy bills. Those are documents that one can use to identify oneself. I understand why people think its dehumanizing to say someone is illegal and it would be more nicer to call someone undocumented to sugar coat things. They're still illegal aliens. YRC you just want to continue justify the presence of people who are here without permission by saying it's no big deal and everybody has a right to come here and better their situation and ergo we should have an open border. Just because a term may create bad connotations for some people doesn't mean it's by definition not to be used. There are bigger fish to fry in this debate, and I think it is a waste of time to play with semantics. Illegal is illegal. I think illegal immigration is bad for America. I want it to stop. Some people want it to continue. It's that simple. You're either pro or anti illegal immigration. You're either pro or anti immigration. We need more immigration not illegal immigration.

There are some people who just don't care about stopping illegal immigration. They think it doesn't affect them. Illegal immigration is bad for American taxpayers. I"m sick and tired of having to pay for their healthcare and education. We're being taken advantage of. We're just too nice and they're walking all over us and demanding more entitlements. I strongly believe that the best way to stop illegal immigration is not simply to put up a fence but to make it undesirable or beneficial for illegal (undocumented) aliens to want to come here in the first place. My town lost its hospital because of all the charity care given to illegal immigrants. That's another thing that greatly impacts my family's health and safety. Illegals don't care about me at all, Why should I care about them or worrying about offending them with the word "illegal" They are not legally here and they've overstayed their welcome to many who were more sympathetic to them. I have no sympathy because it's costing me thousands....really thousands!!!!!! to continue to care for their families. There is no justification for giving them amnesty. Amnesty will further encourage more illegal immigration because they'll know that after several years they can become citizens too. So just sneak over the line/drift in/overstay your visa/... and you will be rewarded. Corporate America doesn't want Amnesty because then they'll lose their cheap labor force and will have to "restock" with fresh new undocumented workers and repeat the never ending cycle again.
