I'd like to do some holiday shopping to spend the time. Shopping also can make me happy.

Well you know what?Maybe you need to do some investigating and get your facts straight before you decide you have the right to pass judgement on people drawing unemployment.
Yes,there are probably lazy,unethical people scamming the system much like they take food stamps,welfare,housing assistance,etc from people that truly deserve it.
But at the same time there are probably many others like myself.I worked for 11 years at the Arvin 17th St plant that was part of the company that got sold out by Bill Hunt and thereafter robbed and shut down by Meritor and then Patrick James.I didn't want to be out of work.I agreed to the BS wage reduction James said would keep the plant open but of course he was lying through his teeth and ended up shutting us down a couple months later.
The day after I was laid off,I spent every day looking for a job both online and in person.I didn't want a handout,anyone that knows me knows how much I detest the idea.But I'm part of the working class that runs the country and can't afford a house and have to resort to renting.Do you think my landlord would accept pride and excuses as payment?I have a family to take care of so I have no choice but to swallow my pride and take a handout.
I spent a year on employment putting in probably anywhere from 5-20 applications a week before I finally got lucky and got a job.Which lasted for a year before they decided my services were no longer required.So,now I'm right back where I was before.So you can once again call me a lazy unemployment person if you wish,but I have bills to pay.

Well yes of course you are correct.I am a lazy ass that chooses for my plant to be robbed and shut down.Yes,it was me that helped make this happen so I can sit on my ass,be a deadbeat,and take a handout.You caught me,I am a worthless drain on society.So,from here on out when I have a interview,I will demand to be hired just so I don't have to worry about measuring up to somebody's standards and being accused of being a dead ass!

I spend about the same every year, I might start spending less because of the economy!!!!! The economy has made it hard on everyone!!!!! Everything is so much more expensive now, and nobody is doing anything to make it better! And we are the ones suffering over it! And especially at Christmas!!!!
