I want everyone to have the opportunity for health care, however, it is NOT a constitutional right, and I am alreay paying taxes on local hospitals for those who need care and cannot afford it...IF they are legal. I don't want to pay again for those who are breaking the law (illegal/breaking laws), or those who are choosing NOT to buy it.

When did we become comfortable believing we were entitled to someone else's wealth? I'm lower middle-income and I have no desire to supplement my income with someone else's. I don't want my children raised with their hands out. Besides, when the government "gives" with one hand, it takes with two.

If I'm entitled to healthcare, then I would certainly be entitled to food, clothing, and shelter. Weren't those, with companionship, taught in school as the "basic necessities?" Wasn't Roe v. Wade argued successfully upon the "right to privacy" between a patient and doctor? You can't have it both ways. The Federal Government will have access to your medical records, your family history, your nutritional intake, and anything else they can get their hands on. Not only will they have access to that information, they will dictate, through outright mandate or punitive taxation, what you eat, how much you eat, whether or not you can/should have a child, whether or not you can/should receive the latest technology, whether or not you can/should have access to the latest medications. Where is the privacy in all that? Seems like the pro-choice crowd would be up in arms. Or have they forgotten it was not the so-called right to choose if you carry a child to term, but, rather, the right to privacy that got their agenda through?
