I like my current health care. I don't want to have to switch to Obama care should my insurer change my coverage slightly. I would the way this pig is written.

If this thing is so good, why did are congess and their employees exempted from it?

If it's so crucial to prevent loss of life in the currently uninsured, why won't the care in the bil go into effect for 4 years?

The bill as drafted will still leave 17 million Americans uninsured.

Through various loopholes, the bill as passed allows for coverage of illegal aliens.

I've been reading the Topix discussion for weeks now and it is obvious the billions spent by the insurance companies, drug companies and medical investors against the plan are going to work. I will continue not getting healthcare due to the high cost of worthless insurance. My only hope is one of my illnesses will take me fast. I am ashamed of all the greedy and selfish people making comments like they have. Thank God there are a few who think differently.
I don't have excellent health care like most of you do because I don't have the money. I don't have health care at all even though I have insurance. I cannot afford the co-pay. I pay $795 per month for insurance for my wife and me to get a $6000 deductible policy. That means I have to pay the first $15,540 before they even begin paying the 70%. We don't make enough to make up the difference. I haven't seen a doctor in years. I haven't been to a dentist in 16 years. I am using the same glasses I got in 1998. We need health care reform in the worse way. I'm not looking for a handout, just a chance.

The government never gives you anything for free. This is the first step at taking over complete control of our lives. Do you know in Japan they have to have their stomach measured at work so the government can make sure they're not over eating. Have you seen the measurment charts for this country? We would have to look like Ken and Barbie for the total body mass to match up. I'm not greedy and selfish. We can barely afford our insurance and we spent 3 months layed off this year. Do you know why AARP is with the government on this health care bill? Because when they cut medicare for the elderly AARP wants to sell the elderly their insurance to make up the difference.
What are you going to do if you don't have the money for the government insurance plan and they fine you $25,000? Don't have $25,000? Then they'll send you to jail. At least you'll get free health care there and I bet it will be better than the rest of us will get.
Got the sniffles? Under the government plan you and a group of other people with the same problem get to see a doctor together. Oh boy Group Medicine. Wonder if we'll get to have our private examines with a room full of people.
There's to much hidden stuff in these bills. Did you know the stimulus bill allows the goverment to see you med records. What the heck is that doing in a stimulus bill. Now this health care bill of almost 2000 pages that no one has read except SEIU Union thugs because they are the ones who wrote it. We need to change the health care system but we don't need the government passing another bill that gives them the right to take our money to help out large companies. SEIU can't afford all the medical they've promised to their members so we are going to get to pick up that tab if this bill passes.
I'm sorry you need better medical care but please don't close your eyes to what's really going on. The government doesn't give a crap about us at this time. All they want is our money. Spread the wealth.....take from the working man and give to the rich jerks who go us in this mess to start with.
