Playing God?? Which part of it is that??
The one we have in place now lets hospitals turn down people if they don't have insurance. Isn't that playing God?

The system is severely broken. The insuranc companies now control how long a patient is going to stay in the hospital and/or what care they are going to get. Isn't that playing God?

Change is always painful, and right at first it will be difficult to get used to it. But come on, what kind of system do we have now...costs are rising, care is diminishing, and too many can't even afford it.

It has always been that Democrats look out for the poor and feeble. Anytime that a republican thinks they are going to pay more for something they get all bent out of shape. Their focus is everyone should work and only get out of life what they have worked for. No matter what. Republicans can have all the luxury in the world and would never offer a cent to anyone. They want everyone accountable for every red cent. In reality that looks good on paper. But in the afterlife will they get to heaven. We will see.

If you think Obama's plan is truly a way of getting rid of seniors, and believe in Palin's 'death squad' comment - you are truly a moron and have not read the true proposal. You are poorly informed...

Does everyone had a right to eat, you poor, pathetic fool?
Why are you not complaining about restaurants turning people away if they do not have the money to pay their tab? Isn't that playing God in your world?

It's not that the democrats look out for the poor, it's that they want to have it given to them. Democrats want the gov't to take care of them, constantly relying on freebies and give a way programs. You said it best yourself, people should work. As far as getting to heaven is concerned-I'd be more concerned about my status when supporting a party that advocates and encourages partial birth abortion and other morally depraved issues.

Maybe you should all read the purposed health care plan. If this is approved, the goverment will tell you if they want to give you chemotheraphy or radiation if you have cancer. They will have a death comittee to determine who gets treatment and who does not. Do you want our goverment to dictate your treatment! sorry you are going to die , because the goverment doesn't want to pay. Obama wants to fine people that does not have health insurance. I do realize the insurance company are basically doing the same thing. I also agree that something needs to be done with our health care. But they have to go back and re-work their plan because the poor and senior citizens will be the ones that will be hurt the most. Dont let obama's speeches and infomercials fool you. Get online and start reading this health care reform of his. Its very scary. It even has the death panel listed in it.

If your hospital is a county hospital, it can not turn any patient away, whether they have insurance or not. There are all kinds of charity w/o's for people without insurance and just about anyone can qualify for indiana medicaid or indiana hip.All insurance companies, especially Medicare, dictate what the paymt to the doctor or hospital will be and how long a patient can stay in a hospital. Very few people are ever admitted as an inpatient anymore. If you do not have insurance but are able to pay your bill, ask for a discount as all insurance companies receive at least a 5% discount. Health care is available to everyone if you just do some research.

Not a 2000 page plan!!! It's just a power play. They don't care about health care, they just care about power!!!!!!!!!!

Have ANY of you ever had to go out and find an insurance co., try to get covered, and paid for it completely on your own??? If not, you don't know what the problem really is. And you don't think the insurance co. isn't telling you what you can and can't have done? Let a Dr. tell you that you need PT and your insurance tells you they'll pay $20.00. That's after you pay $5000.00 deductible. See if you can afford to go.

Yes, I have my own insurance and it covers what it says it covers. If shop for the lowest price, you will probably get the least coverage.

I pay almost $600. a month and can't afford any more than that. I have no copays, no drug coverage, little coverage if not admitted and a pre-existing condition that is not covered. And I certain can't qualify for Medicade. I'm wishing my life away to get to 65 so I can have Medicare a govt. run program. With that and a good supplement you can finally get good care.
