This is why we need single payer health care, and it will kill private insurance dead.

I have a great idea on health care; I will pay for mine and you pay for yours. By the way, allow the ERs to turn those away that they want to. That ER cesspool is one of the main reasons our health care is a mess.

The ER may turn you away if you don't sign over your house. I say let the states who want single payer health care have it and the rest of the states can have what they got now, until they get old and sick, private insurance won't want them any longer because they'll cost too much.

SpyTheWeb makes sense, yet remember premiums can get high enough to pay for the elderly. Will you want to pay them, or will you be able to pay them? Those that can't pay are being picked up by those that can, how long will that last? As long as your willing to pay. Think about what spytheweb is saying.

I have seen people walk into that ER with only promise to pay. When they dont pay somebody has to make up the difference, That person is me or anyone else that faces up to their responsibilities and pays for their health care. The responsible ones therefore not only have to pay for their own but are cahrged extra to pay for the irresponsible.
If ya wanna play, ya gotta pay

Do you trust the free market. A market for profit on your health. Come on now, Free Markets don't belong in medicine, people who care belong in medicine.

The Republicans have really done a masterful job with their propaganda. Most of you who vote against this bill, will benefit from it in a big way. There are many people who work peice together part time jobs for income and have no insurance, being able to get insurance with preexisting conditions is also a big plus. Here in Missouri the state requires us to carry auto liability insurance, this is forced on us because they said too many people were causing accidents and was not insured or underinsured, causing an undue burden to the victim that just got his car demolished. When we have people who are not able to visit a doctor for preventive care, we all pay for it just like that innocent victime who just got his car demolished. Also, I wonder how many of you are aware of the medical insurance package that these elected officials have for themselves and their families-wouldn't that be interesting to see them discuss that. People we have to think for ourselves and not fall victim to the propaganda machine that the Republicans operate so masterfully!
