The right-wing radicals don't want any change in Healthcare because it's such a big money maker.

Why does the left keep thinking the government is the answer to everyting? Try to fix the competition by allowing insurers to sell over state lines and control the bogus law suits from happening for starters.

This bill, like cap and trade is not about fixing the problems with our healthcare. This bill IS about more government control of our lives. If this bill is passed it will give government the power to control our activities and lifestyles. You smoke, drink, ur overweight, you ride a horse, you drive too fast without a seat belt, you don't eat green vegetarian foods... you are a higher risk and are costing our government more so your rates will need to go up until you join the collective and act appropriately. Of course, medical care will also be scrutinized and denied based upon your lifestyle choices too. This bill is a trojan horse that needs to be shot. Do you trust Obama's lies? Do you not question the friends he surrounds himself with? Do you think he is any more straightforward and honest than ACORN?

People are saps. They like giving their money to insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies via the federal government. They like voting for people who work for for big corporations. Only this time things are very different; the federal government is broke. I don't think people understand that the end of the federal government is very near. The federal government is not willing to just dissolve. Rather, Northcom is ready to take on the American people when they revolt.

The Federal government will not have a choice once the world decides that America is irrelevant. China is already buying MUCH less of our debt and what they do buy is only short term treasuries. They are dumping their dollar holdings to buy assets in other emerging market countries (Brazil, Canada, Africa, etc). They have currency exchange agreements in place with 7 other countries so they no longer need to purchase dollars to trade with the world. Other important countries are doing the same.

We need change. Everyone deserves healthcare. The politicians (all of them) need to focus on solving the problems and not on themselves. Their fighting and grandstanding is a total insult to the citizens of the United States, and a total waste of money and time.

I don't trust communists to handle something as important as our health care. Something's wrong with Washington, big time and we don't like it.

My fellow americans I think what we need to do here it to stop all the arguing for a moment, stand up ,place our hands on our hearts and recite the pledge of allegence. I pledge allegence to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands ,one nation under god ,indivisable, with liberty and justice for all

I agree with you, government isn't the answer to everything. But if they can help out then they should. And I also agree with you about competition, but why isn't anyone on the right spelling out the alternatives?

The 10th ammendment states that anything
not defined in the Constitution rests
with the states. It might be a good idea, but it legally is a states issue;
the Federal Gov't simply has no role.

Increase in taxes for the sake of your health is worth it. People are worried about the decrease of quality in healthcare, I say look around you. Look at the countries that are said to have the highest quality of life, they have government run healthcare. I'm 24 and haven't been able to go to the doctor since highschool, its scary not knowing if you're healthy or not...

I sure am glad to see you're at home. I'm at home too. My sentiments match yours exactly. Here's another question to those who think national health care via Obama is so great. Why is he in such a big damned hurry? There are no plans to even implement it until 2013. Same with the stimulous which was such an emergency. A whole lot of that hasn't even been distributed yet. Now with Acorn, isn't it strange that our president remains silent on all of this or acts like he had no idea of what was going on right now?

Yea? That's just one more thing. Thugs. Add that to the long list of being against this administration.

Wow! Two intelligent, thoughtful posts on a thread from the state that elected Al Franken. There may be hope for the Peoples Republic of Minnesota yet.

Amos, Minnesota should have learned their lesson voting for Ventura for Governor. Well, at least I'll do my best to vote on the issues. I thought Franken was strange on Saturday Night Live. I would never have thought in a million years I'd see him running for any office in Minnesota. Some of these Franken voters still have Franken bumper stickers on their cars and I've noted that they look real strange also. I wouldn't walk up to them to start any kind of conversation.

I should not be forced into taking a flu shot against my will nor should I be forced into buying health insurance in what is supposed to be a FREE country! I cant believe I can be arrested/fined/ and/or forced to take a shot under this proposal! Dont believe me? Look at NYs Massachusetts laws and/or proposed laws. This is for real! look it up! Remember folks, THIS IS AMERICA DAMMIT! Lots of people died for your freedoms!

You know what they say about this being the season of goodwill to all men? Well, you get the chance to put it into action today by being understanding, tolerant and compassionate towards the people you meet. This doesn't mean you should condone anything awful that they do, but simply that you need to look beyond that to the larger picture.
