It will raise taxes in a recession, which will bring about a depression. Also the government is being too intrusive into every aspect of the private sector.

As a veteran, the government hasn't been able to prove its ability to provide reasonable health care to the vets, why would I think they could do any better for every single person in this country? Our health care system is far from perfect, but empowering the government even more so over this area = disaster.

Medicare Advantage cost the gov't $850 per person in the program per month. That's a good profit for an insurance company for not doing anything. Time to change this.

Putting the government in charge of health care is like putting Bernie Madoff in charge of your portfolio. I also feel it is too costly in a recession. I believe that the main agenda is for government to gain greater dominion over our lives.

Almost 2010 and the U.S. is trailing the civilized world in almost any field. This 18th century attitude has to stop or within a decade this country's life expectency will be 50.The healthcare system in Europe is working since the end of the WW2.It is not perfect,as nothing is but it is much better then what is availiable here for the average American.I have experienced both systems and will take Europe's anytime. You cannot compete in the world today with half of the population being morbidly obese and ill. This country's helthcare is not proactive and in many ways inhumane.Nobody should profite from someones misery.

Why not go to Europe then. If I thought it was better, I would go there. What is it that keeps you here?

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Virgo

Unfortunately, this looks like being another difficult day, and, as Mars turns retrograde, certain people are quick to take offence or raise their voices. Make sure you aren't adding to the tension by doing or saying something that's provocative or even downright insulting. If you get involved in a shouting match it will be difficult to stop and you could say some nasty things in the heat of the moment.
