I do not believe government intervention is best for the nation. America is about the people and not one man shoving his belief on everyone. Maybe our healthcare needs a little change, but it needs the right change.

I agree that there are people who need health care, but if you talk to people from Canada and many other places that have government provided health care they will tell you they did not like it. Some people moved to the U.S with one of their reasons being healthcare. So now the government is going to ruin the health system that many people are content with? America's government was once amazingly based on governing for the people, not themselves.

The connection between the cost of health care and our national debt is too abstract to comprehend for most of the voting population. The immediate effect is sufficently small to gain support for the oppostion, namely, the health insurance industry. By the time, about two decades, most of the voters understand the impact on our country's solvency it will be too late. We will truly be bankrupt in the classical meaning of the word. Our federal government will have more debt than we have between the aggregate national institutional resources and federal tax income. The United States of America will no longer be the preeminent economy. The cost of the money (interest) we borrow from other nations will increase and our federal tax rates must increase.

The plan is nothing less than appropriating a huge part of the private sector to gain power (over life and death, no less!) and to redistribute wealth to those who have not earned it.

We do not nor do we want the government to run our health care. Next thing they will be running your bank account. The can't run Washington and you want us to let them run our life?

It is as big scam as global warming. I don't believe it has anything to do with helping health care, this is simply about power.

The government should not being private businesses in the United States. This is a country founded on free enterprise and it should remain that way!

How about we pass a new amendment?

Amendment 28

Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .

You can always vote Libertarian. I plan on working on this health care plan on day one. I hope to keep what is good (believe it or not, there is some good in this bill) and fix what is bad/broken with it. I will work with both Republicans and Democrats to reach common ground on the issues.

I am so fed up with both parties using us in their battle for political power. I want to bring Commonsense to Washington and some moderation instead of posturing. Both parties have become extreme and will not work with each other to reach common ground, address the root cause and fix issues.

We would not need insurance if the cost of health care was reduced.

I would support life time flexible medical spending accounts that roll over from year to year. You would be able to find a flex plan in the public sector or at work.
