You think it's a good plan to FORCE people to buy something even if they don't want it? In order to just live here and breathe the air in my own country I would be REQUIRED to pay large sums of money to some crooked health care corporation? What is so good about that? If you want health insurance then buy it. You can't force everyone to buy it. It is our freedom to chose what we spend our money on otherwise we are no different than a communist country. You guys have some anger issues. Something has to be done about the health care in this country. Not everyone is going to like it. If a person can afford to run any kind of business, I believe they have more than the person that can't afford to have a business, therefore they should pay for health care for the ones that can't afford health care or to run a business. Kind of like robbing from the rich and giving to the poor. Yeah, I think that's fair. And I don't care if it upsets anyone. Like I said, we have to do something.

You probably make more than I do. I live in Wenatchee. The fact of the matter is that I don't want to pay for health insurance. Even if I got it dirt cheap because they "robbed from the rich" to make it affordable for me. I should still have the freedom to chose whether I want it or not. Obama does not want to give me this choice and therefore I cannot support his health care plan. Since the Bush Administration it has just been one freedom after another taken away from us. Now Obama wants to take what little we have left. To hell with them all!

You would only pay for the health insurance if you owned the business, right? That's my understanding. If you don't own a business, why wouldn't you want the insurance that you don't have to pay for? I think it's a good thing because alot of people that have more money have a buand make more money than me and have a lot of nice stuff. Why can't they give up some of those nice things to help the poorer that can't afford the insurance? If you don't have much money, you wouldn't have to pay, so why wouldn't you want it? I can't afford to buy insurance when I have a child to raise and I am a disabled vet. I get nasty care at the VA and the VA doesn't pay that much either for compensation. I can't count the times I'm misdiagnosed. I get one strip a week from them to check my sugar and I'm diabetic. If I had med insurance, I could afford more strips. They give out the cheapest medicine. I mean, if it doesn't help me, that's my tough luck, that's what I get or nothing at all. It took them 10 years to give me an MRI on my neck. It goes on and on. My son has pretty good insurance thank goodness but mine is shitty and 49 with multiple med problems.

I'm all for cheaper health insurance or helping the poor, but I don't see Obama's plan as doing much good. It is also unconstitutional to require everyone to purchase health insurance, even if they don't want it. Individuals will be required to carry basic health insurance under Obama's plan though and you will be fined if you cannot afford it or refuse to pay for it. It isn't just businesses that have to pay for it, it is every single adult in the United States.

I still say it might solve this problem unconstitutional or not. We'll just have to be optimistic and see if it solves the health crisis.

I wish I could be optimistic, but when the president is giving away trillions of dollars to big corporations and banks and then taking more of my money when I hardly have anything as it is, it just doesn't sit too well with me. I can't afford health insurance and if I'm required to pay for it the money just isn't going to be there.
