Why does our government need to borrow almost $1 trillion to save $500 billion?

Why not fix the problems with the supposed waste & fraud in the Medicare & Medicaid programs?
And then use that savings to help fix our health system?

Does it really make sense to borrow $1.00 to save $0.50????

It is an expensive, idiotic plan. At least I think it is as no one really knows what the plan is!

There are too many people without coverage. Currently those of us with coverage are paying for those without in our health care premium. It a wash when you look at it this way.

It is not a wash when the government gets its heavy hand into the game.

I'm opposed to the Federal Government contolling any more of people's lives. If anything, they should be looking at forcing the insurance companies to lower their rates and forcing hospitals and pharmaceutical companies to lower their charges.

Myatt is right.

This is beside the point, I'd like to tell what happened to me; because blame is in the greediness and just plain not caring. I recently went to have my eyes checked and I have no insurance. I made an appointment with Newsom Eye in S. Sebring. I said on the phone I had no insurance, it was a big sacrifice, but important I see the best, that I wanted an appointment with Dr. Newsom. Yes, no problem. I said, I do not want to come in and be forced to see someone else. Now, you will see Dr. Newsom. I get in, we go through all these routines and then they do the dilating eye drops and put me in a waiting room. Now I know I am waiting for Dr. Newsom. I am taken to another room to wait for the doctor. This young woman comes in, very forceful, very young, says Dr. Newsom is busy. She actually asked and I had a choice, but now I have spent half the day here, my eyes are dilated, I was surrounded by three young woman, she did not really wait for an answer, she just plowed right in, was spouting off all these terms no one knew what the heck she was talking about, as the other young girl took notes. Then she says i have a freckle on my eyeball, we need a picture. The young tech who is taking the picture I ask how often she has seen this, how serious is it? She said, probably born with it, not a problem. I was charged $308 and saw a bunch of young girls, none of them with any knowledge or experience. I asked for a break down of the charges after I got home and found I didn't have one. I was also scheduled to come back in two weeks for a condition that had to do with swelling of the eyelids. I got home, realized I had been bamboozled, and I called to cancel the follow up appointment. Right away I got a call to come in and see a specialist at $120, there was a question about the freckle, the little girl who looked at it wasn't sure what she saw. I said, no thanks, didn't appreciate the bait and switch, never coming back to your office again. THEN, I got a call about missing my appointment and I neded to reschedule. I politely asked they never call me again. I'm now back to square one, I have to see someone to find out what is really going on with my eyes. I made an appointment with Phillips, Salomon, Parrish @ eye express. Saw Dr. Angelia - not sure her last name - We did an eye exam, a dilation, she checked my eye, explained ot me what she saw and what we needed ot do for future care. She said she did not see anything else serious for a follow up that the other clinic saw, which I knew that part wasn't. She gave me eyedrops and explained to me what they were for and how they worked and why it was necessary. She explained other things to me, and when I left, I was confident, clear and worry free. I paid $79.
My advice to anyone out there, just start with a good eye exam from a reasonble eye doctor, not Newsom, unless you want to spend an excess amount of money, see a bunch of confusing little girls, and still not know anything. You may be okay there if you have no problems, but I know I'm never going back there again, and they really should give me my money back.$308 is a car payment for me that I just threw away, and they wanted even more. Had I been able to see the real doctor, knowing what I know now, it still would not have been worth it. I'm not opposed to young doctors getting expereince and education, but what that office did to me was shoddy, irresponsible and I will never go back there. The more we post our experiences, the better the public can be at large.

I do not trust them. I think that this administration is out to take our constitutional rights and ruin our country. Health care would be good if it were honest

exactly, the same thing happened to me as Jasmine. I went to someone else paid $75 and got awesome care. Didn't get to see Newsom, didn't have insurance, same forceful group of young women, AND wanted to come back. I complained but paid anyway. NEVER go back there again.

The idea politicians know what is best for We The People in our lives is an abject failure.
The decline of families started with the expansion of Gov welfare entitlements in 1964.
