We need a change and any change is better then sitting on one's butt and praying for something to happen. This man at least is at least trying to make a change were others do nothing but make more excuses to drag their feet and do nothing. It took years for this all to happen so give him some time to undo the mess.

Helping people who are sick is simply the right thing to do. No one should face poverty because they get sick.

I absolutely applaud Obama trying to get something done on this issue. It takes a lot of courage to give a crap about something that shakes up the status quo and will benefit this country in the long term despite some short term problems.

BUT, even though I support both the effort and the plan, I fear more and more as the plan is scaled back and changed that what we end up with will only be moderately better than what we have and will end up penalizing the middle class even more. The poor will get subsidized care, illegals will get free care, the rich can afford their care no problem but the middle class will be forced to shell out even more money that they increasingly do not have. I support the change, but just like mandatory car insurance, it is another mandatory chunk of money that somehow the middle class will for forced to cough up.

Obama is a NEW WORLD ORDER puppet just like Bush and Reagan. He admits its. He works for the bank of England , NOT America. His only goal is to enslave us and then kill us in the FEMA camps. His only goal is complete genocide.

Ray: I have one simple question for you. Do you like health care as it is now?

Do you like a system that leads to medical bankruptcy as the number one type of bankruptcy in the country? Do you like a system that tries its hardest to disqualify you for even the slightest, hair brained reason to deny benefits? Do you like a system that forces people to the emergency room, the most expensive type of care, over actually receiving preventative care? Do you like a system that puts America down at the bottom of quality for industrialized nations while at the same time expending more per capita than countries that outrank us?

If you read my post, I did not say that the plan Obama is currently proposing is ideal, but merely that it is better than what we have at present.

So maybe you should quit the mudslinging and attempt intelligent debate. Try telling us how you would change the system for the better?

If you cannot or will not, then I have to assume that it will be obvious that YOU are a total idiot and complete suck a*s as you so eloquently wrote.

I love this illusion of choice regarding health care that many posters in this forum seem to think they have.

First, most people get their healthcare through their work. Typically, most employers say here you are, this is the healthcare provider we use. Big choice there, you either take it or go buy your own.

I suppose the rich have a true choice, but the poor and probably many if not most of the middle class really don't have many options if any.

Second, the choice Obama is trying to put forward would be cheaper and therefore more affordable. Is that really such a horrible thing? No one has to choose the cheap public option or the health co op option. If anything, it ADDS another choice which means more options.

Lastly, all HMO's already make decisions for you. Do you want that elective surgery.....not covered. Do you want to exceed the maximum lifetime benefits....not covered. Did you just discover you have cancer and they revoke your policy because you didn't disclose an ingrown toenail you had in the sixth grade....not covered. This BS has been going on for decades.

Daily Horoscope for November 23

Libra

Today can be one of the most romantic this month, as the nurturing Moon lights up your fifth house. Express your love and affection and find it returned to you several times over; you can multiply your joy today by spreading it around. Watch out for too much of a good thing, however. There are bound to be killjoys who will resent your blithe spirit; don't waste your happiness on those who are enjoying a foul mood.
