I cannot afford private insurance or even insurance through the Kansas Insurance pool. The monthly premiums quoted are $800. more than my monthly gross income.

Do I really need to say anything? Look at what causes the costs to be high, not how to keep kicking the can down the road. You dont need health insurance...next time you see your doctor, ask him what the CASH price would be...it will surprise you.
