The economy cannot survive without reform. American companies face certain excess costs covering employees and retirees. We cannot compete with these costs on the backs of corporate America.

Wow! I tried to vote in support and it would not take my vote. How about that?

There are many reasons to support healthcare reform. The current system hurts us in many ways. The funding dedicated to Medicare influences treatment and research for the aged. This artificial market interference is damaging. In addition, the burden on corporations to cover employees and retirees insures that American manufacturing remains non-competative in the world economy.

The babble about government take-over is a product of special interest manipulation. Don't fall for it.

We have the best Healthcare in the world. If you think the government is NOT trying to take it over, you are living on another planet. What has government run successfully? We need reform, but not a government option. I have experienced healthcare in Canada and it sucks. If you haven't, then you have no idea what you are talking about. You don't hear about people flocking to Canada to get treatment. Wonder why???? Go to Canada and sample what they have. That will change your mind.

America has the best health care system in the world. People from other nations flock here because their countries government run healthcare rations/does not provide proper medical treatments we are able to get.

I know from first hand experience, that this will cost as much as twice as much as the govt estimates. It will negatively affect everyone who has private insurance. Why not expand medicaid. A national lottery could completely pay for it and take the burden off the states. It would probably completely wipe out the national debt too. Just sayin'.

If this passes, it will negatively affect everyone who has private health insurance. It will cost as much as twice what is predicted. Why not just let health insurance companies compete NATION WIDE. That would lower the cost for everyone due to true competition. If there was still people who truly could not afford the new lower premiums, extend the medicaid program to cover all who need it. A national lottery could cover the costs so not to burden states. This type of lottery could also wipe out the national debt and keep us in the surplus column. Of course, all of this makes way too much common sense to ever come to pass. Just sayin'...

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
