It is a shame that we live in the richest country in the world but, some are allowed to die if they simply lack the money afford a complicated procedure! Sure the gov. will help you on small things like a cold but, if you require a 10,000 dollar surgery then, bye bye! I have seen it happen to a few people and, it is a disgrace and, a huge shame!

not entirely true, there are city hospitals that care for indigent patients, but huess what, the same ( i dont take care of myself at all idiots) use up precious dollars alloted for poor peoples healthcare. Guess what else, you and i get to pay for these same idiots that smoke, get fat , do drugs and wont take their medicine so that they can repeatedly use the emergency rooms like doctors offices. Then when you add all the lazy people that dont work and dont want to work, its a big drain on the hospitals budgets. Yes there are some that truly try to help themselves and need help but more are just a waste of our resources.

All of us are going to pay for the uninsured whether the bill is passed or not. Same as you are now. Think about that. Those that can't afford it now will be able to afford and seek preventative medical help before it gets so bad that they have to use expensive procedures which you will end up paying for without healthcare reform.

That may be true for a few people but most are too lazy to hit the docotros offices and wait till they are at deaths door and use the emergency rooms and even then when they get help and meds, they wont take them, so its a viscous circle.

It is my obligation as a Christian to see other people live the best that they can live. So HealthCare is only a device. but, a very important device. To deny it from anyone, to me is a sin. SGMLT

In monticello, KY a small rural town it cost at one doctor's office $75 to see a doctor now. It isn't because anyone is lazy it is because it is unaffordable!! The bad thing is that they get this mutiple trip thing going on where you pay that then have to pay it again to hear test results or if the doctor wants to order more test....it really can get expensive....you guys that are on the outside looking in don't have a clue

You have no idea what the total inpact of your statement is. You as a taxpayer already pay out the nose for welfare cases who pop out more kids so they can stay high and not work, illeageal immigrants who get hurt bad and have to stay for months at hospitals cause they cant go home, cant go to nursing home because they arent citizens, hell the maternity unit at Jewish Shelbville had to close because so many illegeals were coming and didnt pay. Hospitals in the south west are closing for the same reasosns and with free healthcare, open the fllodgates for all the illeageals, crackheads, drug dealers, welafare cases , oh and the people that wont take care of themselves and make repeated trips to teh ER, some come almost everyday. And you will get to paY FOR ALL OF IT, YOU MIGHT KNOW A TINY BIT OF TEH PICTURE BUT you dont know all of it.

It's bad enough that we are paying for welfare people cradle to grave. Now they want us to fund every uninsured person and then the gov. takes control and we get bad care like Canada !!! No thanks

I oppose the plan....
I work hard for my health care coverage and will soon be paying more out of my pocket...
Yet Nobama wants to tax my health care coverage to pay for someone who does nothing to contribute to their own well being? No thank you! The gov already takes 50% of my income before I even get a chance to see it!

I am really tired of the free loaders...
I have worked and payed taxes since I was 16. I was brought up that you had to earn your way...
Well guess what? My parents were wrong. You can get free food, housing, clothes and now even health care. Problem is that I am paying for yours AND mine.

You must belong to the Catholic Ministries who support people from all over the world to come here and allow american tax payers to not only pay for their health ins. but their families, the welfare people, the indigent and homeless(most want to stay indigent and homeless or they would have done something to not be this--in the land of plenty) illegal aliens, etc.

I am a christian but do not believe in working and paying for others who refuse to work on the basis--I don't want to.

Health insurance is not a right--its a premium payment and taxes paid by responsible people.

ERs are ordered to turn no one away, regardless of payment or no payment.

If you are talking about hospitals will look into your credit history and background, finding the person who is the patient telling them they do not have Ins. but own a home and a car or cars, which could be taken away from them.

Yep, you are right. They should of had health ins. If they can afford to buy a home, they should afford to buy health ins.

The other person who refuses to take any kind of responsibility for themself is not my responsibility or others.

Charity should be a freedom to give and not mandatory as in taxing.

You think that is bad well her is some more good news to learn from an email I received this morning....... I also clicked on the link and it appears to be a very real program. WTF??????

I had a former employee call me earlier today inquiring about a job, and at the end of the conversation he gave me his phone number. I asked the former employee if this was a new cell phone number and he told me yes this was his “Obama phone.” I asked him what an “Obama phone” was and he went on to say that welfare recipients are now eligible to receive (1) a FREE new phone and (2) approx 70 minutes of FREE minutes every month. I was a little skeptical so I Googled it and low and behold he was telling the truth. TAX PAYER MONEY IS BEING REDISTRIBUTED TO WELFARE RECIPIENTS FOR FREE CELL PHONES. This program was started earlier this year. Enough is enough, the ship is sinking and it’s sinking fast. The very foundations that this country was built on are being shaken. The age old concepts of God, family, and hard work have flown out the window and are being replaced with “Hope and Change” and “Change we can believe in.” You can click on the link below to read more about the “Obama phone”…just have a barf bag ready.

Don't want the government controlling my healthcare and their plan will most likely cause companies to abandon their current insurance companies, which in turn will skyrocket regular insurance rates. The government already has WAY TOO MUCH control over our lives and the elderly are going to suffer with this plan when they start cutting Medicare money. When they began slashing Medicare several years ago, the results were awful. I witnessed it first hand while working in LTC. I love how people rant on about about the uninsured being denied healthcare, yet when I was doing rotations at the university hospitals, it was filled with nothing but people with no insurance...hmmm. I like the poster who stated, whether we like it or not, we're paying for the uninsured either way....isn't that the truth.

Great, free cell phones.... I don't even know where to begin with that one!
Looks like the new admin is well on the way to creating their socialist country, one step at a time

No, I didn't hear this.

Yet, I am still surprised because people are so obsessed and under his spells. Spell is also known as lies.

If I was an american and had my eyes open and ears unplugged, I just might obtain certain things and keep hidden.

Remember, the days of Hitler when he unarmed all of the people who he killed.

To the patriots of America. Arm yourself.

I sound like there is something wrong but not so.

People need to wake up for the impending disaster that is awaiting.

Obama is doing this damage for one thing and it isn't for the concern of American citizens.

Obama still has not made a decision about the war, he needs to and stop with the pandering to things that really do not matter. Like his attack on Fox News.He is stalling without regard to the butchering of our soldiers.

He and his cabinet of communistic thugs are afraid of FOX because the truth is coming out and it is working on more and more people.

Ways, keep up the work. GOD be with you.
