health care is humane. we can't call ourselves neighbors, communities or people of faith, any faith without first being kind and caring.

Kerry, it's not about not caring, people do care about the well being of others. But first they have to care about themselves and their own family.

Your neighbors aren't going to sacrifice their ipod, their DVD player, their Honda SUV, or other pleasures they worked for just so you can have socialized health care to cover the costs of keeping your 90 year old vegetable grandmother on life support.

Chowder the more I see your posts, the more you prove how pompous and two-sided on every issue, whichever is convenient for you to get your "well educated" point in to make yourself feel higher than others. Do us all a favor and keep your comments on a message board revolving around PBS where they accept people who have an educational level rivaling Sesame Street.

Health Care??? With the Federal Govt. leading this nation towards a financial collapse of unprecedented proportions, Health Care is going to be the least of our worries. With the govt. going into debt to the tune of "trillions" of dollars to fund massive bailouts and incentive programs, and then on top of that, a take over of the Health Industry of the country,we will do well to find something to eat every day.
America's financial cliff is just ahead. And we will soon topple over the edge and nothing is going to stop it.

"public option" is not a viable solution - most small businesses will drop their employees healthcare and a pay a penalty instead of continuing to provide an ever escalating insurance cost

I would be willing to let you pay for it - but under single payer plan you would have to pay for someone else's too.....who isn't paying.
The public option just means all the small businesses (200 employees or less) would drop all offers of insurance to their employees - it would be cheaper to pay the penalties than continue paying an ever escalating insurance cost.....

Like everything else he has touched, nothing will come of this. He needs to get on the ball and take care of getting our troops the support they need, and let them do there job. Stop tying our hands and the wars will be over. He is a fool, and now those who believed in change are backing out. What did you think was going to happen. He is just waiting on his check for doing absolutely nothing.

BUSH started the wars and left it for Obama to finish...Afghanistan was a good cause but Iraq was a MISTAKE! Also, BUSH did nothing but shred the Constitution and get involved in Iraq. It could be worse though...we could have flip-flopper MacCain and the airheaded Palin!

It doesn't matter who started the war because that's in the past and that person is not in control of policies anymore anyway. What is relevant is that Obama promised he would end the wars in the middle east and bring everyone home if he were elected. I think Americans have got what they wanted. Obama is in office, the troops are on the way home, the war is over, and everyone is back to work. It's so hard to believe! What a wonderful world. I don't think things could have worked out any better than the way they have :)))

So why dont you get a plan from Blue Cross/Blue Shield? What is stopping you from getting your own? You dont need the government to come in and offer insurance you have to pay for when there are plenty of companies offering it for purchase.

Bush hasn't been the President for 10 months - get over it.
It's time for Obama has to assume ownership of the mess he is making of the economy and the national debt and the needless deaths happening because he won't make a decision on Afghanistan until the November elections are over. He's on the tube every day - he even got his midnight photo op with the bodies coming back home....pity he didn't try re-enforcing the troops instead of leaving them to die for lack of support.
How anyone can support this egomaniac is beyond me..........you could wad up his acomplishments and poke them in your eye and it wouldn't make you blink.....all hat and no cattle .....as they say in W's neck of the woods........
