and if Obama said "hey lets run off the cliff and tackle Bush and Cheney" you'd be at the front of the pack.
WHo signed NAFTA?
Who give China preferred nation trade staus using executive order surpassing COngress causing the complete devastation of americas manefacturing base and allowed china to use slave labor dumping cheap products with slave labor onto our markets?
Who signed the housing act so in his words "every american can achieve the dream of owning a home" and the gubment went from subsidizing 10 to 40 % with his goal of being 55% under freddy and fannie. The same ones that Bawney Fwank said was doing ok, solvent and we need to in his words "welax housing weguwations"
Bush fired the HUd administrator when he asked how was the housing market was, and the auditors showed differant.
Clinton was the originator of the current tax program slated for expiration in 2011, he signed it 1997.
It lowered the capital gains tax to 20%. When in 1993 he raised it to 35%, the economy went downward. When he lowered them the economy grew.
Bush extended Clintons tax cut and lowered the capital gains to 15%
So maybe in your quest to blame Bush, you should go back a few more years instead of spewing out cindy sheehan propoganda.
and if you look real close, look at the deficit and who controlled the house and when and you'll also see a disturbing sign with debt and spending with the wonderful airhead numbskull Lollapelosi inc in charge.
but thats okay dorothy just dink the kool-aid and tap your heals anyday now mericas going to prosper under Odumbo.......and if it doesn't its Bushs fault.

And lets not forget Canada has a lower infant mortality rate and a longer life expectancy than the US while spending less per a person on care. That equates to better care and outcome with lower cost. And yes that means the system they have ranks above what we have and costs less.

Parts in the bill about outcome, preventative medicine and research. Look at the infant mortality facts and what it doesn't show. Nor do other countries have the tracking methods like we do. Same goes for the driving mortality rate.
So just keep on twisting the "Iwant free healthcare on someone else dime" all you want. Working people are tired of supporting the leeches who think they are owed a free ride taught to the spawn of loser protesting hippies who don't work for a living.

What you should be quoting is losers who make enough money to buy insurance but would rather buy sneakers, rims, skateboards, mp3 players, big screen tvs, stereos, buy concert tickets, a cool ride, and playstations.
If it was up to people like you, you'd make people buy that crap for you too!
So keep drinking the kool-aid, Jim Jones would've been proud to have you on board.

From the posts I've read Ru is talking about those who can afford to buy insurance and don't. I'm also tired of these people playing the system. It was Reagan who introduced the bill that gave free health care at emergency rooms. I believe in re-distribution of risk not wealth. That means get insurance.

We need to do something about the health care crisis too many people are not getting the proper medical care because they have no insurance and cannot get it or can't afford it so they have to do without everyone should have it and they should make a way to see they everyone does. This is a major issue no one should be turned down from the doctor because of it it may cost them their life.

Steve, I traveled a lot when I was in the Marine Corps. By the way, thanks for the ride. Everyone I met was anxious to know how they could get to America because they all new it was a much better place to be than their homelands. Little old widows are eligible for medicare so they should nver find themselves in court with their possessions at risk. If this somehow happened, however, the bankruptcy laws would wipe out their debt and they would be allowed to keep their possessions and some of their bank accounts. The VA will take care of your medical needs if you do not have insurance. What needs to change is for the corrupt politicians to stay the hell out of the free market. People who have health insurance mostly get it through their employer and the whole health insurance system is set up to cater to that arrangement. Why is that, you ask? Because when FDR had wage and price controls in place a loophole was created whereby employers could provide medical insurance to employees in lieu of raises. This benefit was not condsidered wages and it was not taxed. It was a bad idea then and the root of the problem with health insurance today. If you buy insurance for yourself and your family, you pay taxes on the money you pay for premiums. Sound fair? No, it is politics which is never fair. Obama recently changed the number of uninsured people in this country from 47 million to 30 million because he decided to stop inclunding illegal aliens in his count. Now of that 30 million, over half could afford to buy insurance but they prefer to buy booze and cigarettes and whatever instead. So, in reality we only have a little more that 10 millon left. Many of those people are already eligible for SCHIP or Medicaid or some other existing program but are too ignorant or too lazy to enroll. The remaining few would not be that hard to take care of. We do not need the Great Prophet Obama to take over the entire health care industry. All he wants is the power it would give him.
Too much common sense for some, amos...

This bonehead we got in the white house right now, I wouldn't give him the time of day. Health care in this country is a big joke. And it will stay that way as long as we have a bunch of jacka$$ in office.
