THIS particular bill is poorly written and does not reflect what we need. START OVER. Listen to Newt Gingrich. He has the right idea about how to reform Health Care. Do it in small incremental bills. Take care of one thing at a time. 1000 pages is absurd. And this bill is simply WRONG in all kinds of ways.

We cannot afford to restrict decent health care to the very rich. A single payer system, like extended Medicare for all the people would be ideal.

I support it because people need to know if they get ill the will be treated.Hospitals are flooded everyday ith non-emergency people comming in taking up space for more serious things. Also it limits the quality of care you get when you lack insurance, people are more prone to not ask the important questions. And we are not a cruel nation that would deny its people HEALTH CARE

If this Healthcare package comes with a robust public option, one that allows everyone to participate in a low cost plan OR get raped by the insurance companies, I'm all for it. Trouble is, most of our politicians are being bought out by the afore-mentioned insurance companies. I'm not sure we'll get what we need or if we will get sold down the river, as always.

Moron Obama has no idea in this world what he's doing to our economy let alone our country. All he knows is he's got a big bleeding heart and will give away the store to those who can't afford to buy.

How can anyone be for this it is a punch to the groin for seniors and has any one really looked at the cost of this our government wants us to donate money to them yet they want to spend over a trillion on this bill. This is just bad economics. Its time to listen to the ppl and stop letting the payoffs buy your vote. Stand for the ppl

I support the courage it took to tackle this, but not all the details. This is a false pole because it offers the two extremes only.

Because the whole things isn't about Health care. It is about the hostile takeover of the Health Care industry and to hold all those that use it as hostages. If it wasn't, then the government would not exempt themselves from having to use it too.

If it is good enough for congress, the judicial branch and the president, why is it not good enough for me? If this measure fails, will John Boehner give up his government insurance? I pay his salary, as such, he is my employee. So, why are his benefits better than mine and why does he get to try and deny me the same?

The Govt can't even protect our borders. I don't trust them with my health. I generally am opposed to large Government-run functions that can be handled by private companies.

Right now in the US the populace pays 2.2 trillion dollars of premiums (not including copays) to insurance companies.
One of the reason cited for GMs issues was the health care costs of its retirees.
Right now, the arguement is protecting the insurance industry as opposed to protecting the people. Where would we have been had automobiles not been allowed to be introduced because horses and buggies would fall by the wayside?
If 2.2 trillion dollars invested yearly is not enough to pay for healthcare for the citizens of the United States, we have more problems than we can fathom.

Hypocrisy shows up sometimes in unexpected places.

I was recently talking to my 81 year old mother about health care. She said that if public health care passes then private health insurance will be "five or six times more expensive"! I told her that I doubted that seriously and asked her why she thought that. The only answer she had was, "Well, it just will"! She then went on to explain that it didn't effect her since she was on Medicare!

Wow, government insurance is good enough for her but not good enough for her only son?
