The government should have no power to 1) Mandate that I get health insurance.
2)Be the only Suppliers the "health care" that they mandate.

The bill will give too much power and information to the government to use against us. Obama talks how this bill is so perfect and has no flaws. I've never seen a Prez pimp himself out so hard to pass a bill. Every day we lose more of ourselves and our freedoms to this so called free country. Why do people still trust the government. Tell me the last time the government did anything positive for you?

While I hear what you're saying, I'm wondering why you have no health insurance? Is this by choice or is it a financial situation? I don't recall Obama saying saying that. You know, I am just a bit confused regarding this sudden anti-government attitude. Are these the same people claiming to be "the patriots" during the last administration? You know, I'm becoming a little bit impatient with this attitude. There's a lot of men that gave their lives for this country, and while it may not be perfect, it's alot better than anywhere else. Disagree??? Then go there.

It stands for more government control and more taxes. The last two things we need after our economy has failed. I could certainly used some health benefits right now but I will forgo it in the name of freedom. I'd rather die and be free than live under communist rule.

Myths:
"We have the best health care in developed world."
False: we are ranked about 13th among developed nations and have #1 costliest health care systems with far and away the most under-uninsured outside the 3rd world.
"We have a private health insurance system, with little government involvement now."
FALSE: Poor are on govt-run Medicaid. Seniors and disabled have gov't single payer Medicare. Like that idiot at a town hall meeting saying he didn't wnat the Federal govt touching his Medicare. Idiot right winger !
"We don't want some goverment bean-counting bureaucrat coming between the patient and their doctor."
True: We would rather have a private insurance bean counter bureaucrat telling our clinicians what they can prescribe, and when we have to be kicked out of hospital beds instead. Oh, that's right we already have that. Sorry.
The party of "No" the right wingers, Republicans, and Blue Dog Democrats on the insurance companies' payroll want the status quo, the well-to-do get nedical coverage (Probably) the working poor and middle class, including the newly unemployed, the 43 million uninsured get nothing. In other words "I've got mine; go get yours." Go have a fundraiser for your cancer treatment like my cousin did so she could her breast cancer treated !
That's a hell of a "health care" system there Lou.
Democrats and Progressives: Do not listen to the right wingers. Just do it !

Having been recently been hospitalized 4 times with brain tumors I was allowed to live because my wife has employer provided health insurance. If I was working poor with little or no insurance I would have to have died. It really is that simple. Affordable health insurance/medical care is a right not an economic privelege. That's what the Catholic bishops say, and that's also what I believe even without their input. Health care reform. Just do It !

To those who advocate for the Obama/Congress health care plans, please cite the Article/Section of the Constitution in which the Framers enumerated the power delegated to Congress giving it any authority over health care.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Gemini

You're in a very erratic mood today, making you restless, edgy and nervy. It may be almost impossible to settle to anything for long, because, as Mercury slows, you soon lose interest. If life becomes boring you'll want to liven it up in some way and it's likely you'll choose the most disruptive and controversial option you can think of, even though you know this will cause trouble.
