There are more sensible ways to address the issues in healthcare delivery than those being proposed by the Dems

The insurance companies need competition, right now they have no competition and continue to make millions of dollars. I just saw on TV where Caldwell Memorial Hospital lost $15 million last year and will lose $18 million this from charity cases (people without insurance, not enough coverage, and medicare patients). It has to be fixed. The hospital said it can't go on losing this much money.

The insurance companies may need competition but we do not need another government boondoggle.

This bill passed in congress will do absolutely nothing to combat "uninsured" citizens. It is apower grab by obama and the democrats. If you take away the 20 million illegal aliens and the 15 - 20 year olds who DONT WANT insurance then you would be left with only about 5 or 6 million uninsured americans who truly cant afford it. In a society of 340 million people, we are going to socialize and "overhaul" the best damn healthcare in the world? I think not. Screw you democrats for this treasonious act. YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED IN NOVEMBER OF 2010.

This is got to be one of the ridiculous comment I have seen regarding this subject. Something is better than nothing? Who is going to pay for it? Who would be covered? Oh we already know that, shhhh(minorities) You are wrong chris. The FREE market will do better with this than the government, But then again, The fed has done such a great job with medicare, medicaid, veterans hospitals, etc. Whatever. The government is not the answer to ANYTHING.(except, who do we NOT trust?)

Not a healthcare bil, It's a power grab bill and extremely expensive. We just don't have the money. Deficits DO matter

With the employment picture as poor as it is, this area needs healthcare reform more than most!

Huh? Spending billions of dollars doesn't create anything but debt.

it absolutely has no merit! he compares us to Switzerland. Does Switzerland have the unemployment rate that we do? Is Switzerland as large as we are or have the population we do? Come on people, he is trying to turn our DEMOCRATIC Country into a Socialist Country. look into the constitution...... Quit going away from what we were founded on!

Things are not always as they seem.....the whole picture isn't being seen. We don't need a public option, or expanded Medicare and God knows we don't need additional Government intrusion into our lives and business.

We have mandatory insurance for automobiles. It's time we started insuring all. Let's move out of the dark ages where only the rich get good care.

Funny...the poll won't let me cast a vote supporting health care. Go figure!!!

Zip it hippie. YOUR insurance is not MY responsibility. The reason the republicans didn't address the issue is because there is no issue and in case you liberal idiots didn't notice..... We were fighting a war against people who want us dead and they don't give a sh*t if you have insurance or not.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Sagittarius

Mercury turning retrograde in your house of finances carries a rather unseasonal message, because it's telling you to pay attention to your finances over the next few weeks. If you already know that you've overspent this month, you won't need to be told that a few economies are just around the corner. Get the facts straight and pay attention to the small print. You may also have to make some adjustments to an intimate relationship so it can move into another phase.
