The government isn't offering to run your health care so it really isn't an issue.

If the "public option" even makes it into law it'll just be another plan people or businesses can choose to purchase. I expect it'll be free or inexpensive for people who can't afford other insurance. Everyone else who signs up with the plan would pay a premium like they would if they stayed on their current insurance plan. I don't know how much it would cost, what kind of deductible it might have or anything else though. I don't even know if anyone has come up with that yet.

If anything passes at all it's likely there will be restrictions on insurance companies dropping their customers who get sick or not not covering people who have "pre existing conditions".

It's all just talk now anyway, there's nothing even settled on yet. Whatever passes could still turn out to be something that helps people who get sick avoid going bankrupt (or worrying about the possibility) and it could also be a total fiasco that's a total waste of money and doesn't help anyone but lets politicians say they "did something" about the problem.

Maybe they'll do nothing and I'll keep my existing plan with my $1,500.00 deductible that next year might be $2,400.00. At least if there was a public option I'd have an alternative.

Also, I support what the President said he wanted to happen but I don't know that anyone in Congress is actually doing it. Everyone there seems to be doing something different without any kind of coherent activity at the moment.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Sagittarius

Slow down! You're trying to do too much and it's driving you - and everyone else - up the wall. What's more, if you're in too much of a hurry you'll start to become accident-prone and that will make you even more het up. Try to take any setbacks or domestic mishaps in your stride, otherwise you'll end the day feeling like a nervous wreck.
