I do not believe the gov't could or more importantly should be involved in the providing, counciling, administering, or overseeing of healthcare in America. I believe it would not only make care less effective, but more expensive. I don't believe the gov't wants to be involved in healthcare for the good of America in as much as for the control it would gain OVER America. Let us maintain our own policies and lets come up with some meaningful freemarket solutions to healthcare REFORM not TAKEOVER.

Our healthcare can not go on as it has been, letting corporate ins companies and drug companies with their lobbyists dictate and also deny care. The costs continue to escalate and this countries healthcare has fallen behind othern western countries.

This health care situation is like we are all crying victims of a crime against us... we are not!

We are americans and what we do is compete... If the governmet passes a public plan we should all start on alternative payment formats such as the Equity Health Plan and buy a No Insurance Club membership.... Innovation and choice. That is american... sitting around complaining about the government activity is a waste of time... if we cannot out-compete the government....then what?

It is our addiction to health insurance, which puts us in the quandry we are in. Yes addiction, we continually do something with our money that hurts us in the end and cannot seem to wait to get started again; in the event we are severed from our connection to the warm and fuzzy insurance plan.

Let those folks in DC do as they wish, they have not stopped you from paying cash for care.... yet. And if we let them do that then shame on us.

Lets create and conquer this health care problem and innovate a new and better way to deliver care based on the concept of CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! Not insurance compliance.

The alternative is Equity Health... in Dawsonville Georgia there is Chestatee Emergent Medical Care selling annual memberships fr just $550 a year, unlimited, all inclusive primary and sub specialty care. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9354279/

The old system with the current insurers and pharmaceudical companies needs to go. the average person can no longer afford their rates and if a person does not have good coverage from their jobs, they can't afford to buy their own. And no one can afford to be unassured. Sickness can take all of your assets away...medicaid is only for the indigent, not the working person.

I cannot afford a new car at this time nor do I think I can in the future. My car is a necessity for my work. I feel the Government should provide me with a car or at least help me pay for one.

I also rent, which sucks because the rent is way TOO high. I cannot find anywhere else cheaper to live. I think the Government should set guidelines for just how much rent someone can charge, it should be at least 1/3 of what I am paying now.

Have you seen the price of groceries lately? The Government needs to step in and put a cap on how much a gallon of milk can be sold for and peanut butter, sheesh,$4.00 a jar, cmon get real!

It doesn't need to just be "healthcare" lets go across the board, regulate whatever industry or business you are in too.

Update: My beater of a car broke down! The mechanic wants to charge me $770.00 for working on my transmission.
The Government DEFINIATELY need to regulate this guy, need to drop that down to $100 at the most, can't afford that $770.00, no way.

I needed some warmer clothes because of the cold weather. Fortunately, the Government will not need to regulate this industry because everything I purchased was from China, Indonesia and Mexico.
Great prices and really affordable.

If only the Doctors from Mexico would come up here illegally to work like all the other Mexicans, I bet they would give us great deals on Health Care.
A friend of mine got her house drywalled and painted for 1/6 of what a contractor wanted.
Shoot, I bet a Mexican doctor here illegally,$2400 for Heart Cath, try $400 under the table. This is what we need!

OMG! I was going to go to a Atlanta Falcons game, have you seen the prices of those tickets!!!!!!!
These guys make WAYYYYYYYYYYY TOO MUCH MONEY to play a stupid game, I think they should make $1000. a game MAX!
I am sure the tickets to the SEC championship game will be MUCH cheaper, these guys are in college and don't get paid, maybe I will go to that game this Saturday and cheer on my beloved Bulldogs!

Okay okay, got my car running but I need tires. OMG can you believe the price of tires! I asked if they had any that were from China or Mexico for maybe 8 dollars apiece, the Government needs to ensure that every American can have SAFE tires on their automobiles, I mean its our safety, it shouldn't cost.
