I absolutely support the Health Care Plan. Like many, I do have good Health Care with my company, but I know many who don't have health care for themselves or their children. Medicare is a government Health care plan, so why not extend the same health care to everyone, especially children?

I support it first so that all Americans can have access to health care. And second, it will be the first step in the dismantling of the corrupt insurance industry.

Obama has shown us what a true president with class acts. He is honest. If he keeps commenting on Bush, is because 99.99% of the mess he has on his plate, is Bush's mess. Healthcare is what the public needs. With the public option, my husband hasn't had health insurance since 2005.

President Barack Obama inherited this mess from George Bush's two terms as president. I am proud to say I voted for our president. People should not be forced into bankruptcy due to overwhelming medical bills. Then again, I don't think prescription drugs should be advertised on TV (thereby increasing their prices to cover the cost of advertising TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, WHO CAN'T BUY THEM DIRECTLY!!!)

But I digress. My company doesn't offer health insurance. My husband's, thankfully does. For those people afraid of - OH MY GOD -'socialized medicine' WHAT DO YOU THINK MEDICARE/MEDICAID IS? When your house is on fire, do you have to look up a fire department to come put the fire out? No? Well, THAT is a socialized service, if you want to know. The post office? Police department? Armed forces? Yeah. ALL could be considered socialized.

I also have an excellent medical plan and my wife is a doctor in the medical field. What people against health care reform fail to realize is most in America even with coverage are only one illness from insurance cancellation and another from bankruptcy when they are declined for a pre-existing condition.

The system is broke and infiltrated by GREED to the point that fraudulent practices are considered a normal way of doing business by companies more interested in profits than patient care.

It's just costly and doesn't even cover everyone. Why not keep working it until it is right and really doesn't benefit everyone. This is more government, bigger government, too much government. Just wait til it takes hold and then you need something done at the local hospital. Don't you think there's enough forms to fill out already. Government will bring more paperwork, more red tape, more advisors and consultants, and less care for the dollar. America will again be mocked by the rest of the world for talking a big story but deliverying far less. This is not good legislation. Stop, think, and tell Mr. Obama now way, not this time!

I can't in good conscience support any more of this endless spending which only serves to put more and more debt on the backs of our children and grandchildren. This president has bailed out everyone who doesn't need it while the rest of us taxpayers are unemployed and without any healthcare. Now he wants to give us healthcare. How about giving me a job and I'll pay for my own healthcare myself mr. president. How about that for a plan rather than having big government constantly meddling in the affairs of the little guys. Stop the insane spending in the name of stimulus and get to work on program that will really develop new jobs. Stop the ineffective talk and lets see something real. The time is now. This is President Obama's Waterloo. Hold the line and stop the insanity, Please...

In fairness what choice do we have?

18% of the GNP is health care related – is it the total answer – not at all – the bill as writtten can be amended however without it it returns to the status quo of escalating costs of insurance and medical fraud.

Here is an example I know all to well – a therapist gets paid less than $40 an hour yet is billed on average at $500 by her profit instead of patient care company

It is an ethical dilemma for those that would like to keep a job and companies that are on the stock market seeking quarterly profits

The system is broke beyond repair and I could cite so many more examples – GREED

In the healthcare field..It is sickening in america how many people come into our O.R with no insurance..When those with insurance will have to eventually pay for the ones without insurance by skyrocketing premiums..Not the america we should be..when over 70% of americans are going bankrupted because of medical cost..sickening!
