The Gov't does not care about our health care situation; they simply want more control over our lives!!

It's just common sense. Other countries with universal coverage fare much better in terms of keeping people healthy and keeping costs low. US insurance companies raked in 60 million over the past 10 years by denying clams. Helath care reform will keep them in check.

Tell me this.... How does this health care bill really help us.

They had a breaking news story the other day. I seen it locally as well. IF this health care bill passes by 2011 it will cost the american family an average of 1700.00 more above what they are currently paying... By 2013 that cost will be 4000 dollars.

If people can't afford health care now with what it costs. How are they going to when they tack another 4K onto it.

How many people in this case that currently have health care will now lose it because now they can't even afford it, let alone those who already don't.

Sounds like a great deal to me. Sounds like this should help the economy rebound from the recession or is it depression.

ER Doctor's letter to the editor

In canada to my understanding...

They don't have a choice of doctors

They also can wait in line for ever and ever trying to get some help or to be seen.

I guess some that can't afford will get some help in health care. I also understand by 2013 it wil cost 4000 dollars more than what we pay now. How then will anyone pay for it.

Then those who can afford to health care, will now give up on there choice of doctors, and now won't be able to walk in for an appointment. They will lose a days worth of pay waiting at a doctors office for a visit.

I feel for those who work and are trying and can't afford... But I struggle why I work hard for someone who keeps pumping out kids with out being married by various men. Those who will or expect the others or the tax payers to support them instead of going out to work.

I don't see how anyone with any sense could argue with this reasoning. I am also sick and tired of helping this worthless breed of people. However, instead of continuing to fight a losing battle (there are more of those scum than there are of us) I am just moving my residence to a country that doesn't tolerate the non-working, you owe me everything class of people. One less payor for the bruthas!!!!!!!!!! I guess you'll just have to steal more to pay for those rims!!!!!

So I guess everyone should lose there right to choice of doctors, being able to set appointments, wait for ever to be seen, etc. We that do pay should be punshind for those who don't wish to work.

John I don't understand either how everyone or so many people in this country actually believe it's the governments job to take care of us.

They feel that Food stamps, welfare, Health Care, Education, wasted political spending, etc. em. Is It the responsibility of the govt to pay for it. No.

How much does it cost to have our president go over to some school to talk to these third and fourth graders. It seems like a nice jesture, but he is doing it to just politically enhance his position. I imagine that talk to those third graders cost in the millions.( the security, the preparation, the travel, etc) How many times has he done this. Yes there are things he has to do but that isn't necessarily one of them.

In a nutshell... This government wastes so much uneeded monies into these programs that they should be into. If they stayed out of it like they should, and get involved in what this govt started with what our fore fathers set up.. we would have a lot more money to spend because there would be a lot less tax base required. Instead of taking 50 percent of our check, they might be taking 15 percent. Then many more could afford to drive there cars, get health care, pay for food etc.

Our lovely, great, super hero Charlestonian Mayor Joe Riley is a good example of govt waste. If Mayor Joe wants, Mayor Joe gets... If he dont have the money he will just create a new tax to provide for it. If it gets voted down, he will just bring it up to another vote a couple months later rewording what he originally started with. Seems to me there are many blind people in the City of Charleston who so excitedly keep voting them selves higher taxes.

If the government was forking over so much money into these programs
