We need to have all people covered by insurance, regardless of their health condition (present or past), employment, or ability to pay.

John, who do you think will pay for all of this? Do you think your overall cost will go down?

How can one approve or oppose? We don't know what the Obama plan is yet -- and it seems unlikely that we will until it is foisted upon us by a working behind the scenes and in the dark of nite congress.

That is exactly what I thought when i clicked on the icon to vote. I have no idea until I see a final draft. It is a bunch of fear tactics, threats, jargon..... who at this point can make an educated vote? I will let you know after it passes! I believe also that it will be passed in the wee hours of the morning.

We need to control cost not create a new and expensive government program.

So many people are without Health Care. With the public OPTION if you want it you can have it and if you already have health insurance you can keep. It gives competition to the health insurance companies out there. And it's proven that countries with government run health care are healthier and happier with it. The only reason why this bill has NOT been passed is because people would rather see Obama fail than the country succeed. How patriotic is that?

If we first make sure that people have jobs then as part of the compensation we could include Health care just like we include SS.

I personally know people in Canada that have Govt fixed Health care. All doctors get paid and have a quota. The good ones meet their quota by june and take the rest of the year off. DON'T get sick in the end of the year or you will get the dregs!

It's too expensive and the "public option" rewards indolence, improvidence, and irresponsibility.

Then you pay for it!
It's easy to be generous with other people's money.

That you've swallowed everything the media has spoon fed you is cause for concern.

I got health insurance. Screw the poor, let them die in the streets. The only value they have is selling their organs.

Start with TORT reform first!

Obama is a Post Turtle. 'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he sure as heck ain't goin' anywhere, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there in the first place. -- R.F. Conlon

It is just plain irresponsible 2 socialize medicine & in so doing marginalize the profession. We live near so many great medical facilities, we tend 2 expect great med care. Medicare 4 all will ruin med care as we know it.

I would like the ability to decided whether I need health care or not and I don't want to be forced to pay for it if I don't get it.

A lot of TORT reform would go a long way in reducing medical cost. Also, allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines would help also.

Repealing the Hospital Act of 1988 would go a long way of reducing cost as well. Give me one good reason why we should spend a dime on health care or emergency care on a illegal alien or poor person?

Life is cheap and so should be health insurance.

Will you people get a clue? It's not about health care. It's about the government controlling every aspect of your life. Your body will belong to them. If you need surgery bureaucrats will determine if you are worth spending the money on.
I can't understand how moronic americans have gotten.
Obama makes back room deals, bribes, with AMA, AARP, PHRMA, big unions. I don't see the american people being invited to the table. We will be relegated to the position of indentured servants. You see it with your own eyes but you want to stay blind.
If it's so great why aren't the Senators and House members taking it? Because it stinks.
Obama is a slick Chicago politician. Part of the Daley political machine. As corrupt as they come.
Visit Chicago sometime and see the kind of shape those people live in.
It's horrendous. Slums everywhere. Slum lords like Valerie Jarrett abound.

Stop listening to main stream media and read. Read Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky. Obama is a student of his and started community activism just like Alinsky. Alinsky was a communist. Obama admired him

The health bill is taxes and more taxes and bureaucracy on top of bureaucracy.
It will create over 600 new agencies.
You think you have trouble with the insurance company now? You ain't seen nothing yet. You will deal with the government and get nowhere.
You can sue a doctor but you can't sue the government.

The elderly barely get anything.

Wake up folks before it's too late.

We DO need healthcare reform but where did the president's timetable come from? It came from his own desire, I believe, to actually accomplish SOMETHING (anything!) during his first year. We need a sensible and cost-effective healthcare program and NOT this Rube Goldberg monstrosity.
