Our countries health care system is tied to the insurance industry and not to the health of our citizens. Obama is trying to help people. Wake up. This is the same as our social security and why it was formed. If we would have listened to the former administration and privatized social security,no one would be receiving benefits since the collapse of banking and wall street. This is what gov. is for...for the people!!!!

It is unfortunate that the "reforms" proposed are two extremes. On one-side we have everyone gets equal care and the rich pay for it... on the other side we have dont touch anything the rich need their access and cannot share it with poor. There is no common ground. Dems want everything equal and probably less quality... Repubs want those who have it to retain and others who dont... tough luck! We need to have a common ground. Big insurance corporation heads are more worried about investing their assets than taking care of people. A government takeover will only lead to small-time beaurocrats acting like insurance-execs.

They need to rewrite the reform to make it more appealing to all. I am more angered at republicans whose answer is 'do nothing' on everything.. social security, healthcare... the only thing they want is tax cuts! I am so tired of this rhetoric

We don't have enough money to cover everyone and this administration wants to tax and rais taxes to get us horrible healthcare. If you can't afford it, you get fined or go to jail, you can afford it, then think DMV and IRS and there's the kind of healthcare you got. Besides these Dr.s and nurses bust their behinds, spend their money, dedicate their time and lives to "help" us. It's not manditory they do this and no one had a right to undercut their worth like this plan would do.

Every thing that I read in the current 2000+ current house proposal causes me to emphatically oppose it. Maybe we do need some revisions, but Obama's health care proposals are too costly and take too much freedom from patients.
