Everyone should have access to the best health care available whether they are rich or poor. How can anyone enjoy their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness if they are too ill to do so? People should not have to go bankrupt because they can't pay outlandish and overpriced hospital bills. Health insurance and pharmaceutical companies have been gouging the public for too long and should be forced to lower their rates with legitmate competition. Socialism is not a bad word, only made so by greedy capitalist pigs. Since when is looking out for your fellow man a thing to be feared and rejected? The sheeple need to wake up to the truth. We must look out for each other because big business never will.

No one in our country is denied access to health care unless they do not want it. The Obama health reform is nothing but a move toward Socialism.

Why not give him a chance instead of fighting him on everything. If we don't like the results, we have the ability to elect someone new in four years. We can't be the "United" States of America if the parties are constantly at each other's throats.

When the government confisates their EARNINGS, their incentive to EARN is diminished. Please give me three ways you respected George Bush.

I want nothing to do with National Obamacare. We'll all regret it like my Canadian friends tell me. I oppose this kind of welfare.

If his health care scheme passes, those of us who have health care presently will be screwed. If we get sick, we will not have our choice of physicians like we do now and we will have to wait for months to be seen by one. They will decide on how to treat you. You will no longer have a say. A good example is cancer patients. If you're terminal, you will be denied any treatment or hope because you would be a waste of money and time that can be focused on people who will undeniably recover. Basically, if you have an ailment, you'll have to call "Government Joe" and tell him of your symptoms. He'll then decide when or if you should get treatment and then he'll tell you who to go to...that is IF he gives you the ok to see a physician. Now I agree this is good news for people who have no health care because this BS is better than nothing at all..which is what they have now. I agree something has to be done with the health care situation but I'm not about to sacrifice my family's wellness and down-grade MY health care in order to give some jobless schmuck his own coverage. Let's think about this for a minute. Overseas and Canada all have this health care coverage that Obama wants. If it's so great, why do the people from them countries come here to be treated?

You sound too selfish to help out people in need. Some people can't afford health care through no fault of their own. You want to withhold it from them because you are too selfish to wait a little longer to see a doc. How pathetic is that.

Not all wealthy citizens have "earned" their money, much was inherited from relatives. And how did their relatives earn all that wealth but off the backs of poor people? Most millionaires are unscrupulous. I respect the Office of the Presidency, not necessarily the man. Give me three reasons why George Bush deserved respect...he was the laughingstock of the political world and a mere puppet for those truly in power behind the scenes.

Give me three reasons why George Bush deserved respect...he was the laughingstock of the political world and a mere puppet for those truly in power behind the scenes. Sorry, but you were short changed on your alleged education. Most millionaires are living in upper middle class neighborhoods. They are leading quiet lives while providing jobs for "poor" people who have the same opportunity to suceed themselves. I have an incentive to save my money which the bank uses to provide car and home loans for people. I save it because I want my children to have it. I earn my money for myself and my family as well as my church and worthy causes in the community. If the government wants to confiscate most of it to give to you, then I will stop earning any more than I need to live on and the "poor" people working for me can go on welfare. Now there are a lot of millionaires living it up in Hollywood who made their fortunes on the backs of poor people who pay to see their movies and read about them in tabloids. These "stars" always seem to have political advice and opinions in between trips to rehab and divorce court. They all seem to be liberal whackos who are completely unable to articulate any substance to support their opinions. At least we agree on the difference between the office of the Presidency and the man holding it. Bush was an embarrasment. However, he was certainly better than Algore or the hapless John Kerry. The Great Prophet Obama was elected because the only other choice was Obama light. Obama is way over his head and will be a one term wonder. His lame duck status begins right after the next general election in 2010.

I have busted my a$$ to get me where I am today..with no help from anyone. I'll be damned if I'm going to work just as hard to help out other families who choose to sit back and do nothing except collect free money for doing nothing and then gripe about how I have it so good and they have such a hard life. I don't consider sitting on your couch(or your porch), watching tv day after day with a few trips to the unemployment office is considered having a hard life. Those wanting Obama's health care plan to pass are those people. Get a 2nd job and use the money towards health care. Life is what you make of it. Don't blame others for your crappy choices.

Obama, Pelosi, Emanuel, and their ilk are merely Marxists trying to exact government control over our lives. Obamacare is just one avenue by which they're trying to do it. Everyone has ACCESS to health care already. Too few people are actually paying for it, partially because the federal government has already gotten so involved in the health care industry. Let's not forget the trial lawyers, too.
