Insurance reform is must. 122 people died today from lack of medical care without insurance. 40,000 more will die by the end of the month!

I already have Federal "government" insurance, and it pays almost everything - vi sion, dental, doctors, hospitals. Before Medicare, the gov't offered us Blue Cross, Aetna, and GEHA. It paid everything.
I think the biggest objection from the right is that they earn over $250,000. Also I personally have a "Living Will". I hope you know what is. nobody asked me to make out this statement. I made it with my own desire...no tubes, etc. Yes...I very definitely support Oboma's Health Bill.

You can fuss all you want to about the health insurance, it won't do any good until the Doctors are made too stop feathering each other pocket books. They sent a patient to as many of their friends as they can, to drain the patient of their money and to file ins. claims. Where do you think they all get their big!! fine homes, and each other choldren all have a new auto. And if one of their children get into trouble, they just buy them out. I know this for a fact, work for one, but our wages were froze for two years now.

choose life! Affordable healthcare for EVERYONE!
Why require car insurance and not health insurance? Don't the INSURED get stuck with the bill when the UNINSURED have to go to the doctor? Isn't that why we require people to have car insurance? Just in case they have an wreck and injure someone or property.Whats the difference?
sorry

Obamacare will add huge tax increases and simply add to the problems. There are other more common sense ways to "reform" health care - including Tort Reform.

There are many to blame in the health care mess. I agree with sissy about doctors feathering each others pocket books. By the way some dentists also do this, I've experienced such.

Doctors charge outrageous prices for attending patients. Can you imagine charging $115.00 for an office visit for a sinus infection. Of chorus the insurance companies won't pay that much but what about those who do not have insurance.

Insurance companies are also part of the problem. They charge enormously for coverage then require deductables that are almost impossible to meet. They make the patients pay large copays and some won't even cover the costly medicines that doctors prescribe to please their drug pushers,(oops I meant drug reps.)

I known of an incindent where a child was taken for a pre-school exam . This was a covered charge with the families insurance company. What happened? The mom paid the copay and everything was fine, right? Nope. They were billed for the hearing portion of the visit. THis was a covered charge. Mom contacts the insurance company, with the policy in front of her and it is confirmed the charge is covered, however the doctor did not use the right code while filing the claim. Mom calls the doctor, another run around . We used the code we have she was told.

Mom informed both the insurance compnay and doctors office that she would Not pay for this charge. She already paid the required copay and that was all they were getting. What happened the doctor's office eventually wrote off the charge.

There is a war between insurance companies and doctorr and the casualities are the patients.

Here is an example of scamming the people that pay for doctor care and Medicine without insurance. When I had no insurance a couple of years back, I got very sick and had to go to the doctor. He had me come back 3 times for an ear infection, 2x's costing me 85.00 a visit and giving me a prescription for hydrocodene for the pain. I received 10 tablets for 88.00. My mother has insurance and had just gotten the same medicine for back pain, she got 90 tablets for 27.00. I looked on her sheet to see what the insurance was being billed, it was 69.00 for 90 tablets. I had to pay cash for 10 tablets at 88.00. Her insurance would pay a total of 69.00 for 90. Now tell me that the people that have no insurance doesn't get ripped off. I had lost my job due to my company closing and the cobra premiums was so high that I took the chance of not having a serious medical emergency but I paid dearly for not having a prescription card. But this shows you the actuality of what goes on with the drug stores.

Not to mention that you won't be able to choose your physician. Ronald Reagan warned us of socialized medicine back in the 50's but the "champion of change" wasn't around then.

The government hasn't been able to fix anthing else. What makes them think they can fix healthcare?

Beware, we are fast heading toward something in this country that we do not need or want.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Pisces

You're lacking in energy and resources today, which will soon slow you down and make you feel as though you're wading through treacle. The only way to cope is to have as many breaks as possible, and not to set yourself impossible goals that you could never hope to meet. You're also very susceptible to the criticisms or put-downs of others, but do your best to ignore them.
