Don't forget Timothy McVeigh killed over a hundred people with stuff you can get on a farm and in a hardware store. This is less about gun control and more about a violent generation our gov't has created. No one says a word about the thousands we're killing in Iraq with similar weapons but some idiot goes into a a movie and all anti gun nuts jump on the wagon to ban guns.

I really hate to agree with you but you are damn right, we have guns legally and obey all the laws so why should I loose my rights because of some wacko that will waste tax payers money on a trail when we all know he is guilty. The cops should have shot him on the spot but no, we have to give him a fair trial what a lot of BS that is....Like the state of Vermont you can walk around with a gun on you and nobody cares because most Vermonter are packing.

Just one brave movie goer with a gun could have saved most of those lives.

This guy could have walked into the theater with a Machete and started hacking people's heads off. Would you blame it on Machetes then?

He could have poured gasoline all over the movie goers and lit them on fire. Would you blame gasoline then?

Just one brave movie goer with a gun could have saved most of those lives.

If everyone carrier guns, the crime rates would drop significantly.

Are you going to try to rob a bank if the five customers in line ahead of you and behind you are all packing?

Would someone even dare open fire like this nutjob if everyone was armed? If so, it would have been suicide.

I totally agree with you if people are going to kill people they will do it with what ever they can use. You are also right if just one person hand a gun or even pepper spray lives could have been saved. Its not the guns or fertilizers that kills its the people behind them that kills. You can not even protect yourself if a person breaks into your home with a gun in mass. Anyone breaks into my house will get a chest full of lead then a kick in the ass after he is dead for just good measure. People need to arm themselves no matter where they go. Just like 9/11 if passengers on the planes had knifes or even pepper spray or a gun many would have been alive today but thats what happens to law abiding people they get killed.

I agree 100%.

Yes you need to be armed wherever you go at all times and sadly even at home where you should be safe.

The Police only get there after the fact. The fact is you are already dead.

The Police cannot be at every movie in every theater out there. But armed citizens can be everywhere.

It is a right granted to us by the Constitution and never let it be taken away.

This whole incident could have been staged to get people angry over guns so as to take them away. Don't fall for it. Fight for your right to carry. It is by far the best right you have.

I'd like to see you go up against a guy in full body armor with a pump action shot gun and an ak while smoke fills the room with people screaming, gunfire ringing and everyone running. I agree I'd rather have my gat in that situation then not but I would never want to be in that type of fight. Yeah if like at least five people were packing and returned fire that would be nice but there's too many sheep out there the guys who dove over their girlfriends are real hero's the shooter is a punk I hope he suffers before the death penalty is won.

"but I would never want to be in that type of fight" -- like those people had a choice???? what's your point?

Why does it take a least five people to have guns?-- what's your point? One brave soul could have taken him out.

"I'd like to see you" -- like you are braver than anyone else?-- what's your point? given the option to dive onto the floor and hunker down or pull out your Glock and try to take him out - what option would you rather have?

One of the main problems is the media. They grab ahold and run putting the idea in many peoples brain. Some of these folks really need to learn that they will not get away with these crimes. The law enforcement folks need to shhot first and ask questions later in these situations. Save us tax payers some money and boost the economy and give funeral holmes work......

I swear that for the rest of my natural life that anywhere guns are not allowed, I will never go. Whether it be a State, a building, a job, a restaurant, a bar or anywhere. If they don't allow guns then I will not go in there.

My gun will be by my side always and forever. If I go to the movies, I will be armed. Till the day I die. Try to take it away from me and it will be from my cold dead hands.

It is a part of my everyday life. Never shall I be without it. Not ever.

The 2nd Amendment affirms our rights to posess our firearms.

Husbands and fathers have a duty and obligation to protect their families from evil and if that means protecting them with a firearm, then that's what you have to do. The police can't be everywhere.

If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns and we all become victims to the criminals.

We also can't allow our lawmakers to deny us the right of protection of life by burying the law abiding gun owner with more anti-gun laws. It's the criminals we have to worry about and believe me, they don't care about the law or gun free zones. More gun laws are nothing more than "feel good" laws.

The reason we have the 2nd Amendment is to defend our country against govt tyranny. If you take away semi-autos and allow the people to only own single shots, the govt would have the ability to kick your arse. Once they have your guns, they own you.

Our forefathers had the intelligence to know this after standing up against the govt and therefore, we have the 2nd Amendment.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT be infringed upon. Some people don't seem to understand the importance of the Bill of Rights.

With all due respect, I did not single out either heterosexual or homosexual fathers. I believe that it's ANY AND ALL PARENT's obligation and duty to protect their family.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Cancer

Take care because it's a rather downbeat day. You feel as though you have the cares of the world on your shoulders, and maybe you have. You've certainly got to cope with a lot of responsibility and duty, and there could also be delays and disappointments that need to be negotiated. Yes, it's a fairly miserable day but try to rise above it, otherwise you'll soon start to feel really wretched and sorry for yourself.
