We have the right to keep and bare arms. It's a god given right by the founders of the constitution and it should stay that way. If guns are banned then only the criminals will have guns. At the rate we are going in the US under Obama next thing we will need them for is food riots because nobody will have enough to eat unless they are related to him, or got their noses stuck up his butt.

My great grandfather 7 times removed helped to write the declaration of Independance and the Bill of Rights, and the Constitution. It was okay for him and it's just as fine for me.
I have the right to own and bare arms, and that's the way I would like it to stay and I am willing to fight to keep that right. The NRA is the largest army in the world, so don't forget that when you try to change that law.

So which is it? God given or a right by the founders?

"law" so glad you don't live here in Alaska, i thank the cold that keeps most people from moving here, Lillian, Brilliant comment, perhaps you should let NE know that its BOTH, God and founding fathers... they believed in God and they are also the ones that believed that 'in God we trust' should be on our currency, unlike so many muslim loving Obama lovers...

They were deists. And the Founding Fathers didn't give us our rights. They affirmed them.

Then the second amendment needs to be amended. Because the rights of children to go to school safely and return home safely is more important than anyone's right to a killing machine!!!!

So where does the Constitution and the Bill of Rights specifically mention how the rights of one can trump the rights of another?
