We need to do away with ALL gun laws, repeal the 1932 NFA and the 1968 GCA, and allow law abiding people the opportunity to defend themselves without regard to the state, county, or city they are in.

Getting rid of "all" gun laws means that everyone, of every age and every criminal record could purchase any type and number of guns.

Brilliant.

Ok, keep 18 years old and prohibit felons, but other than that, I agree with sticky. Time to equalize guns laws across the country. The rules need to be the same for everyone.

So, you want every 18 year old who isn't a convicted felon to be able to buy and carry a handgun?

So, basically EVERY high school and college kid in Albany would be able to walk around with a concealed pistol. That's a great idea, because we all know how grounded and sensible high school and college aged kids are.

Of course there has to be common sense happy medium to gun laws. What's missing here is that background checks needs to be done everywhere. The laws are lax in internet purchases, all of which are legal. No one has even addressed that most of the crimes committed with handguns are illegal handguns or stolen which the owner never reports as he/she themselves don't have a permit to own. Many states just let you come in witha valid drivers license to purchase a weapon. So it appears if you can drive a car, that doesn't make you a mass murderer

The Constitution disagrees with you. Self defense is a fundamental human right.

You cannot buy a gun on the internet legally and have it shipped to you. It must go through a licensed federal firearms dealer. You've bought into the liberal tripe about the "gun show loophole" and internet sales that just isn't true.

Next time, please know your facts before you start typing. You cost me about 40 seconds of my life that I can never get back.

Now go back into the other room and let the adults talk.

Gee I guess you're and idiot. NBC News just did a whole Dateline issue on Internet sales.. I suggest you pull your head out of the sand and actaully paticipate in society. There were no checks, and Colorado was the number of place where guns are being purchased. By the way not everything on the Internet is true, sorta like your comment about licensed federal firearms dealers. Half the guns sold on the internet are illegal moron.

Reading comprehension obviously isn't your strong suit, so you should watch who you call a moron.

Go back and read what I said: You cannot buy a gun on the internet legally and have it shipped to you.

If that's happening, it should be stopped, but we don't need more gun laws to curtail the actitivities of lawful gun owners. Provided that we are over 18 and not felons we should be able to carry concealed handguns without a permit, whenever, whereever.

You're right. Better we put an M-16 in their hand and march them off to war. Dolt.

Hey, they're not MY battles... I could care less what's going on in Afghanistan...and NO, I don't trust 18 year olds with guns, any more than I trust them with alcohol.

I don't want Arizona deciding who should be carrying a concealed weapon in my state, any more than Arizonan's want New York deciding who SHOULDN'T be carrying a CW in their state.

Well then take it up with your government because they trust 18 year olds with guns enough to send them off to battle. I trust 18 year olds with guns because I trained people younger than that the proper handling of firearms and they didn't cause problems as a result.

I'll bet that you didn't let them carry those guns concealed on the street here in America, did you? Did you let them carry those guns when they were drunk or fighting with their girlfriend?

You're talking about giving ANY 18 year old who isn't a convicted felon the right to carry a concealed pistol. Have you SEEN some of the 18 year olds out there?

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Pisces

There's a clash today between the past and the present. Someone wants to dwell nostalgically on the good old days but someone else is determined to forget all that and only concentrate on the here and now. The trouble is that neither side will want to concede to the other person's point of view, leading to bad feelings and upsets. If you are one of these people, try not to be too entrenched in your own opinions.
