I recently shot a gun for the first time, and they can be shot just as much for recreation as they can be shot for defense or for stupid reasons. Just because there are idiots in this world, don't limit the freedoms of the responsible people.

I hunt , shoot , collect weapons, and keep the rouges and pill heads out of my house and property for now.I Have a Concealed Deadly weapons Permit so a pistol is on my wife and I when we go out. The way our country is turning with terrorist threats, so called street gangs (not in Winchester they wouldn't last a week, race rivalry and religion arguments it wont be long till all out war hits the states. Groups are banning together now, collecting weapons, ammunition, food, fuel, water. Have been for years. The shit hits the fan "LOCK AND LOAD" The strong will survive !
Besides that it is OUR Constitutional Right !! Those who oppose that is a TERRORIST.

I don't give a damn whether they ban them or not, I'm keeping mine. I have had them so long they are not registered so they don't know where to look for them. And YES I would use them if someone tried to harm me or mine.

I do agree that we have the right to bear arms. the second amendment was written by people that feared a strong central government and standing arrmies. They wanted militia as national defense and not a standing army that the government controlled. When war starts, everyone fights but when over, the army disbands. As this is no longer the case, is the second amendment still necessary? We no longer need militias for national defense. And since it states in the second amendment: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Therefore, as the first part of the amendment is no longer true, what happens to the second half. So should private citizens still be allowed to carry guns?

Handguns or Firearms in general don't kill people, people kill people.
If a ban is placed then not only would it violate my constitutional rights, it would arm the criminals and disarm the law abiding citizens.
I would not respect or adhere to a firearms ban in Kentucky period let alone Winchester or Clark County as a whole.
Anyone that would condone or wish for a firearms ban of any kind is not a true American citizen, but a terrorist who would like to see our Country taken over, if you are in favor of a firearms ban then pack your ass overseas and live there, we do not want you here nor do we like your kind.

Absolutely and the fear of the Militia is the only true thing keeping the Politicians from passing such a law to attempt to disarm us.
You want a repeat of Australia, do you want the European way of live to infect our Country?
With the infestation of foreigners in our Country we need every true blooded American to be prepared and take up Arms to defend our Community, our Country, and the most important our Way of Life.

Who do you think Gun Control Laws actually controls?
A gun control law or ban like the 1994 Assault Weapons ban only affects the law abiding citizens, criminals "shitbirds" do not adhere to such laws, nor do they care about the laws, so before you support Gun Control Laws or Bans truly think about who it really affects.

And who will back up the military?

The right to keep and bear arms was conferred on the people but not exclusively for militia use. Have you ever heard of the unorganized militia? Why shouldn't private citizens be allowed to keep and bear arms?
