Exactly. HELL NO. Disarm the citizens so they cannot defend themselves? Screw that! Not only do we have thieves, muggers, rapists and murders running about, but we have an out of control government that could physically invade us at any given time. Screw that. We have a second amendment for a reason. Our Founding Fathers were geniuses when they wrote our constitution.

I would never support a ban on guns.
I would support a ban on those committing a crime.

History has repeated itself time and time again. Gun control does not keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Also, if government removed all guns completely from circulation, America would no longer be a free country, but would be a enslaved state.
WE THE PEOPLE would no longer have the means to oppose those who would enslave us.

that dont mean we have to take up assaut weapons to protect are selfs.and who protect them kids when the 20 year old shot them like fish in barrow.the bad thing they get in the wrong hands.gangs and outlaws dont do this kind of deeds. ones that are way off that should never been able to get them. i like target shooting and reloading. but i do not own assaut rifle for this reason.if something gos down will use a hunting gun long shots are better with the right hunting gun. thin get i need.

The fault lies with what our society has become, not with gun ownership. Anyone who wants to commit an atrocity like the one in Connecticut will find a way to do it--but bombs, knives, guns, poison, or even a baseball bat. We have become increasing violent and our young people are becoming more tolerant of violence through video games and increasingly violet movies. Dead is dead in the real world, whether you can reboot your game and start over.

Maybe it's time to reexamine ourselves and our culture and make some hard, "tough love" decisions about what we allow and what we teach our children. We also need look at the example we are giving through our own words and actions. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Do you know what an "assault weapon" is without Googling it or based on a description that you heard a pollutician say made a particular weapon an "assault weapon"?

That's correct, they account for the MAJORITY of shooting deaths as mass shootings are still statistically rare.

You really shouldn't have dropped out of school after 3rd grade.

There is too much Gun Control already as it is. We are losing our rights, freedoms, and liberties, and we haven't seen nothing yet. Its going to be a long 2 years before the next congressional elections come .
