<quoted text>
That's where you're wrong. Feinstein is already on record...
"All told, HR2038 is a giant step closer to the goal stated by the assault-weapons ban sponsor, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., on CBS "60 Minutes": "If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them -- Mr. and Mrs. America, turn them all in -- I would have done it."
http://www.sfgate.com/opinion/openforum/artic... Yeah, that's no substance, eh Oscar? All they need are 2/3 of both Houses to get the ball rolling.

But there are far more anti-gun Democrats than Republicans.
<quoted text>
You obviously lack that common sense and show an amazing lack of knowledge about firearms.
Automatics are legal for those whoo purchase the proper stamps. When was the last time you personally heard of a shooting by an owner of one of those? When was the last time you heard of any crime committed by an automatic weapon?
Close to half of all hunting rifles are semi-automatic. If they are so bad, why isn't the murder rate much higher?
Why are semi-auto hadguns so much worse than revolvers?
<quoted text>
Really? And shotguns don't? Revolcvers don't? Mine have never killed anyone. Does that mean they're defective?
Can you produce just one Operating Manual from one of those guns that says its purpose is "to kill other human beings"??
Are the semi-autos used by hunters to hunt game defective because they only killed animals?
If the over 20,000 Federal, State, County, Municipal, and City laws on firearms not "common sense", how many more would be?
Or do you believe there is a law out there waiting to be written and passed that would make a criminal suddenly obey it??
<quoted text>We don't like innocent people shot up in so called "Gun Free Zones" which amount to killing fields because the criminals know they can go in and exact maximum carnage without anyone to stop them.
Columbine and Virginia Tech are other great examples.
Guess the "common sense gun laws" crowd prefer to have students and theater patrons beg for their lives rather than having a means to protect themselves. How noble!
