If you took away handguns, Those who wish to do harm to others with handguns would use long guns instead. Making handguns illegal would not change anything. I think all mentally sound people who have not been convicted of a felony should carry a handgun on their person at all times. If we all did this crime statistics would decrease dramatically.

The right to bear arms is our only real protection from a future government not of our choosing. Take guns from the people and you take away our ability to defend our constitutional rights. Its as simple as that.
