As a former victim of a violent crime, I no longer wish to be a willing victim. I have a concealed carry license and I am always armed.

I too carry a concealed weapon and actually had my house robbed once. If we banned hand guns the bad guys would still have them. Heck look at all the gangs that have illegal fully automatic weapons. Just imagine the power we give the government if we arenít armed.

I'm a strong supporter of firearms rights, but I never quite understood the point of concealed carry. If somebody's going to jump you or rob you or whatever, they're still going to do it. And if you're lucky, you might be able to get the gun out and then what? scare them off? shoot them dead? Seems like a lot of hassle. If a situation gets to the point where the firearm is discharged by you, then you're dealing with a police report, possibly an injured or dead person and a real can of worms legally speaking.

I reckon it's even worse if your assailant gets the firearm away from you.

If an assailant can see that you're armed, they aren't likely to mess with you in the first place.

The mayors of cities who oppose hand guns, are exactly why they have gun issues in their cities
, e.g. Bloomberg, Ny Daley -chicago

More guns= less crime, its been proven over and over, and bloomberg and daley are exactly why we have guns to oppose tyrrany

Silly question, given the Second Amendment and recent Supreme Court decisions

A citizen who skirks his duty to contribute to the security of his community is little better than the criminal who threatens it.

CORRECTION....Too many deaths via handguns used by criminals. Keep the violent criminals locked up with longer jail terms and leave my handguns alone. Problem solved :)

Try reading the bill of rights. The second ammendent guarantees the ability to bear arms, not just rifles or shotguns.

A Kid accidentally shooting another kid is not a criminal.

I stand by my original statement...no correction needed. To many deaths by handguns...period.

Regardless of the system all it takes is a mental lapse or a back alley sale and you have a gun a physco and a problem like this.

The handgun is a tool - no more, no less. The person using it for lawful purposes poses little threat, while the person using it unlawfully needs to be punished

Handguns don't cause or solve the problem, therefore why worry about them
