I respect the Constitution, and those who support crap like this clearly don't.

The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. That is a liberty that no government can take away. That's the only view there is. If people don't like it then move to Australia where the people have been disarmed, not try to pass extremist anti constitutional laws.

What if the federal government were to offer a $500 tax credit for each large-capacity magazine that was voluntarily turned in, as well as a $1,000 tax credit for each semi-automatic assault weapon that was voluntarily turned in?

Thats a retarded idea, the country is worrying about the fiscal realities its currently facing, attempting to get a control on the budget, everyone complains that the government spends too much, and you want to add new ways for the government to spend tax dollars. It simply won't work the way you think it will.. Thats all I can say.

There is no debate over constitution, violence can be perpetuated through many different tools, guns are not the only tools of death, look at china's mass stabbings...

i'm ex military; and i realized a long time ago that everything comes down to motivation / discipline - without those a human being will be a failure in life - PERIOD

we already have more laws that cover every aspect of society; than any average / normal person can comprehend.

when a criminal is caught; the prosecution; cuts a deal and lets them go anyway: just watch the discovery channel - true life crimes and such --- where the system has failed: Society, the People that it works for, even Itself (emphasis added)

we don't need more laws - we need more responsible people - esp those who create the laws --- and those who enforce them
